We took this as a 2 day getaway, expecting it to be top notch... especially given the price of $480/night PLUS $120 each to get there by water taxi. We stayed in Endeavour unit 18. Unfortunately, for the price, it fell well below expectations. No kitchenette as advertised, no TV, the 'King size bed' turns out to be 2 single beds of different elevations pushed together, with a 'step' between them. There IS a spa pool, but contains more filth than water - it was truly disgusting. In The restaurant we ordered an expensive meal but quickly found the Cray fish was far from fresh and the lamb rack was more sheep ribs than Lamb(!) We ate it, just because of where we are and it wasn't inedible, but for a meal that cost over $300 with wine it was a long way from what we would expect elsewhere at even close to the same price point.... and before we had even finished our meal, at just 8pm having sat down at 7pm, we were told the place was closing and could we please finish in our room. Although we had already paid for the 2 nights, we left after just 1, with no refund for the unused night - truthfully I didn't push the issue, I just wanted to get home. Will never return.

Wow what a location. Loved staying here so much, an amazing experience. The views, the staff and accommodation were all 10/10. So relaxing from the minute of arrival, swing in the hammocks, wade in the crystal clear water or hop in the hot tub. Just a dream stay overall

Amazing Resort. A true gem of a resort and one of the best along the Queen Charlotte Track. The chefs at this resort need recognition, the dishes being served are some of the best I’ve ever experienced for taste and quality. The bar menu from breakfast, lunch and evening meals was very thoughtful and very enjoyable. Max, Jack and Nico who worked in the bar / Restaurant worked so well together they made our experience special. If you are looking to do the Queen Charlotte Track then you MUST add this resort to your stay. There are works going on around the suits and the best options are the cottages. The works are ongoing but will add to the resort availability. Cottage 3 was super clean, two bedrooms with amazing views of the bay. Until next time

Perfect. The facilities were great. Pool table, spa, badminton etc plus kayaks. Our room was excellent with plenty of room for us (2 adults 2 teens) to sit around. Wifi was good. Staff were great. The view from our room/ deck was so beautiful. The restaurant/bar was very good and lots of food options. It was priced high but it is remote and inaccessible so it was justified. Couldn’t fault it - an absolutely lovely place and would definitely go again!

I know opinions vary depending on where you stay at FL, but I for one had a wonderful stay for my birthday a few weeks ago. We stayed in one of the couples chalets, Endeavour Suites, and not too close to the hot tub which was in constant use (maybe there needs to be two haha). I had brought our own snacks but we splurged on a bottle of wine & had a lovely afternoon relaxing & enjoying the stunning views. The chalet was gorgeous. Don’t think there were any negatives. Maybe more hooks in the bathroom? I loved the bathroom products and wish I’d bought a gift pack as a reminder because they all smelt amazing! We also splashed out on the seafood platter for our bday dinner (it was husband’s bday as well) and special mention to the staff (man and two women -all dark haired) who were attentive, friendly, warm and efficient :) We were lucky enough to have cracking weather for our stay and the walk to Punga Cove the next day was the icing on a very sumptuous cake. Thank you Furneaux for a lovely weekend!

Excellent dinner - all 3 courses - excellent breakfast and coffee. Friendly staff. Very accomodating allowing me to put charge in my Bluetti battery. Moorings close to the jetty are 25 a night - that’s amazing compared to 100 a night at marinas in the area.

Went for a coffee stop on our walk to the Lodge, it was a beautiful day in a beautiful setting. But here came the biggest disappointment. payment for two coffees $19 !! My friend paid, so I had no idea, till the comment was made about it on the table. We ordered two coffees at the bar, one large Oat Mocca and a regular Flat White, both in a take away cup. We did not had to wait long, the coffees were made. What we received - two take a way cups, which had the same size and looked more like a small serving. The coffee was ok, but not the best quality in taste & temperature. A few hours later, on our way back to the Lodge, we popped by again to find out about the ridiculous high charges, we were wondering about, how they came together. There were no prices displayed at all on the Coffee bar's board. I know it is not a legal requirement, but would be helpful and appreciated! So we looked into the menu and found out that each coffee was $8, Oat milk $1 and each take away cup $1 !! Well, the person who took the order, never mentioned anything about the $1 charge for a take away cup, which I believe should've been pointed out, nor it was mentioned that the coffees are all the same size in serving. Furneaux Lodge, I believe you can do better than that!! Improvement is needed here!! You got such a perfect spot where you are placed in the Sounds, you have lots of visitors coming through, and people in New Zealand are high coffee lovers! And foreign visitors appreciate how we do coffee here too. Agree, that you pay transport $ to get your goods out there, but you shouldn't get greedy and spoil a Furneaux Lodge experience by charging those kind of money!
