We had a lovely time at The Villa Rosa. We had a self-use studio suite that worked perfectly for our purposes. The room was very sweet and well-maintained with a good bed, drawers, and closets. We loved the little patio attached! The kitchen was a bit small, but well stocked with appliances and plenty big enough for casual use. As our studio was self-use, we didn't interact overly much with the staff, but they were very nice and helpful when we did. We really enjoyed the location: Sea Point is a fun beach-town area with lots of great restaurants and easy access to the walk along the beach. The Villa is a quick walk to the beach (<10 min) and the main coastal path. Of course, we knew about the load shedding and were aware that the venue did not have a back-up generator so were prepared with our own chargers. They did provide a light that switched on when the power went out, which was useful. Our only notes were that the walls were a bit thin, and it was a (small) shame that the self-sufficient studios were not within the main house as the main house is lovely and is what drew us to the venue. All in all, neither of these really negatively impacted our stay, and we had a great time.
