Mont Eco Game Reserve

My friend and I had a wonderful safari experience at Mount Eco Games Reserve. It is a beautiful place and definitely worth visiting! The staff were all very kind, helpful and warm, rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the safari experience was memorable!

Mont Eco Game Resort is wonderful. From the moment we arrived, to be greeted by African drummers to the moment we left, we were spoiled. The individual lodges are fabulous, with large comfortable rooms. Our guide was brilliant, getting us as close as possible to the animals and explaining everything with great humour. All the meals were included in the price and the food was excellent.

Upon arrival we were taken to restaurant for drink/lunch. We would have preferred to go straight to our room. We were unable to spend the time we were hoping to in our room between dining and safari.

The service was outstanding. The team was professional, attentive, and they truly cared about our experience. I was also very impressed by the food. Each meal was fresh and of high quality, showing a real focus on detail and local flavours.

Mont Eco is a very special Safari experience. The staff is superb: Koos our manager, Nugent the client specialist, Emily our food specialist and TK our incredible Safari Guide plus the many other people there that make Mont Eco an incredibly welcoming, delicious and luxurious experience. Most of all having our first Safari experience there was amazing. Only 3 hours from Cape Town but you are in another world. 18,000 acres but only 14 guests at a time. And only two jeeps out daily. The many animals including the Big 5 and thousands of others roam in their natural habitat happily and easily with no threat from humans. Our guide, TK, is a brilliant, experienced and accomplished Safari guide and beyond that an animal whisperer. He understands how to track the animals and then how to observe them without disturbing them. We went out on 4 safaris with him while we stayed at the beautiful accommodations and each time was more exciting than the last. I recommend very strongly if you are looking for a wonderful base camp plus safari where the animals are incredibly beautiful in their perfect, undisturbed natural surroundings.

My husband and I visited for my birthday. What an amazing experience. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, no request is ever to big or small. Off the beaten path. What an experience. Would highly recommend!

I am blown away by the incredible experience I had at Mont Eco. From the second I arrived, the staff, accommodations, experiences, and atmosphere were absolutely incredible. The attentiveness and personal attention provided by Nugent, Shawn, and Kudzai were top-notch, and our game drive guide Terrence made every minute of those adventures even more special. Thank you to everyone at Mont Eco for the vacation of a lifetime.

I would highly recommend Mont Eco to anyone looking for an authentic Big 5 safari experience close to Cape Town. It’s the perfect combination of world-class hospitality, stunning scenery, and unforgettable wildlife viewing.
