The Jordan Suites

What an awesome place🙌 Absolutely stunning ❤️We loved every minute. The special attention to detail so amazing. All staff absolutely wonderful and kind. We can't wait to return. This was a highlight in our Cape visit.
Oude Werf Hotel
4.4/566 Reviews
Spent a lovely few days at the Oude Werf during a recent visit to South Africa. The location is great within Stellenbosch -- wonderful to walk the old town and enjoy neighboring art galleries, wineries, and other sites. The hotel has extremely comfortable rooms and the staff is over the top wonderful -- looking after every possible need. Don't miss the (free) coffee bar and the wonderful breakfasts. All our meals there were great and we could not have had a better experience. Thanks to the entire team for a fantastic and memorable stay.
Boschendal Farm Estate
4.5/517 Reviews
Boschendal Estates must rank as one of THE places to stay in the Stellenbosch area. Surrounded by mountains on one side and rolling meadows on the other, the scenery is spectacular, and the location is ideal for visiting vineyards in the region. The Retreat Cottages where we stayed were charming and the staff at both the Deli and Werf restaurants were most helpful. Special mention for Marylise who went out of her way to accommodate our requirements and Peter our young hiking trail guide who persisted despite a severe allergy attack. Great breakfast at the Werf too!
Mimosa Lodge

We stayed a couple of nights here and the place does live up to it’s heritage marketing. The only thing is, it makes it a bit noisy. We stayed in the rooms over the road from the main hotel and the floors are wooden floor boards, the walls are plaster and the doors to the rooms are a loose fit in the frames which makes for a lot of echo around the place when people chat in the lobby. The rooms themselves are OK , clean and a very comfortable bed. Bathrooms are clean and large. We found the food there OK but nothing special, it was the only place in our 18 days in South Africa where I didn’t bother with a cooked breakfast on our second day. Maybe it’s a different chef on a Sunday evening and at breakfast because lots of people have said how good the food is. The first night we ate at Route 62 opposite the hotel and enjoyed ourselves there, local beer and reasonable food. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.
Eendracht Hotel

We stayed at this cute boutique hotel for three nights. We are a family of four and booked two rooms, one being the “teen” room which is a room with a bunk bed and bathroom. It was a great set up for our family. The only complaint is that the teen room was quite stuffy because it did not have A/C. There is a well maintained swimming pool and our family made use of it daily. There is parking out back, we were told that parking could be full but we never had any issues. The staff were all courteous and smiling. There is a nice buffet breakfast and the baked goods each morning were very good! The rooms were clean and spacious. There is a safe for valuables and a mini bar and fridge. The hotel is in a great location to walk the town. Restaurants and colleges all within walking distance. We didn’t use our car, except to visit wine estates. I’d recommend this hotel.
Pearl Valley Hotel by Mantis
4.3/521 Reviews
One of the largest and nicest rooms (207) I have stayed in for some time. Clean, modern and everything you need. Great complimentary coffee. World class estate with so many facilities you can use. Backs Restaurant: Small but very affordable menu. Friendly staff. Valley Restaurant: You can eat about the same breakfast for almost half the price at “Backs” Negatives: Golf: This must be the in the top 5 most expensive courses in South Africa to play as a affiliated member. Not really catering for South Africans. As a very avid golfer, I am not willing to pay that fee. Even the discounted rate if you stay in the hotel is exorbitant. 2/10 Access to the estate is shockingly slow and ineffective, especially for hotel staying/returning guests. Every day the same procedure to gain access. Code only valid for 1-day. R40 for still water in a normal plastic bottle! Price: 6/10 Staff:9/10 Location: 9/10 Facilities: 9/10 Overall: 8/10 As the estate is so large, a map of the location of all the facilities would be great.
