Extremely convenient hotel. Very warm reception, comfortable bed in a very clean room and good parking . Friendly staff. Very close to the walled city with great view from the window. No drinks facilities in room as is often the case in French hotels, but machine available in reception . Great stay

Excellent short stay and close to the citadel. Room was very clean and well kept. Staff all very helpful. Breakfast was good, plentiful and frequently replenished. Pool area again well kept and a real sun trap. There is an on site car park too if needed.

We booked this last minute as we decided to have a night in Carcassonne before flying home. Very welcoming reception, room was exceptionally clean & very comfortable. Car parking on site. Pool looked lovely but we didn’t have time to use it. Will definitely return if we are back in the area.

For a visit to Carcassonne this hotel is perfect, location is the best, few minutes walk to the Old City and about 10 to the Old Bridge to access the 'modern' part of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, it is immaculately clean and the pool is pristine. We didn't have breakfast but there is a 1 euro coffee machine in reception which is pretty good for the early morning heart starter. Really excellent restaurants and bars are close by in Rue Trivalle and there are a couple of mini markets to get stuff (ok wine and beer) at non bar prices. They also have amazing little delis with cheese and meat which you'd struggle to find in somewhere like Waitrose over here. It's a no brainer to book here. Staff are incredibly helpful

We recently spent 3 nights in Hotel l'Aragon and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is ideally located, 100m from the Medieval Cité and 5 mins walk from Rue Trivalle, a bustling street lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. Our room had a view of the Cité, it was spotless and perfect for a short break with a large ensuite. Breakfast was great value with plenty of choice. The pool was very refreshing after a day's sightseeing. Every member of staff, from reception to housekeeping was extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Audrey who answered our queries prior to our visit. We used the Cyclolib electric bikes to explore the city on her suggestion. There is a docking station 100m from the hotel and this is also where the Airport Shuttle bus stops. We would have no hesitation in. recommending this hotel and would. happily stay there again.

I just wanted to show pictures for my fellow American travelers to know of some differences in usage of the room from our US hotels (see pictures: 1. Hidden outlet behind a night stand, 2. Have to turn on-light switch to see in a dark hallway, 3.Toilet’s 1 or 2 flush). Other than that, this hotel has nice staff, comfortable bed, good functional bathroom, and good breakfast (early, convenient timing too). I would recommend this hotel.

We booked into Hotel L'Aragon for a night stay to experience the Medieval City before going on a week's barge trip down the Canal du Midi. Perfectly located as close to the Main entrance to the Medieval City as you could get. Pricing is very fair considering the location. It was also an easy 20 mins walk down to the city centre. Where we went to the Saturday morning Market to buy some local produce for a relaxed lunch later in the day. Rooms were very good. Smallish, but perfectly usable l, beautifully decorated and very clean. I must also mention the bathroom. It was large and the shower was superb! Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We decided to breakfast in the hotel, and were not disappointed. Lovely European breakfast with enough selection to please everyone. I called the hotel when we got to the train station and they organised us a taxi to collect us a few minutes later. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a great location. Would definitely recommend!

We had a really nice stay here. Most of the staff are really friendly and helpful. Just let down by one older guy who worked some of the night shifts who was quite grumpy and unhelpful. The breakfast is tasty, and we struggled to find anything better value locally. Shame the place doesn’t have a bar. For the first few nights we bought a bottle of wine back. Until the aforementioned grumpy man started locking the only outside area of the hotel! So you could be in your room or the car park. Not so nice. Rooms are nice. Beds are rock hard, so bad in fact I suffered for most of the stay with a bad back. Pool is nice and appears to be a rare feature in the area. Really cold but after a day in the heat can be lovely. Not sure it’s obvious but there appeared to be a decent amount of parking. A stones throw from the old city and not far to the new city. I would recommend for all the above reasons but personally wouldn’t stay again as I’m now suffering with my back and have barely slept in 5 days
