Rather disappointing and did not live up to the photos shown of the hotel on various websites. Hotel is advertised as with parking, but this is simply not true. The parking in Carcassonne can only be described as a nightmare and a long drive round trying to find a space (not at the hotel as there are non available) is a regular occurrence. Room wasn't particularly clean and there is next to no storage space, meaning living out of a suitcase. Staff are very friendly, but this is the only real plus.

This is a 2 star hotel not a 5 star hotel yet some people seem to have written their reviews on that basis which is exceedingly unfait. For a 2 star hotel it is ideal. I feel quite strongly about this as the owner goes above and beyond and it must be so demoralising to see reviews which hold the place to 5 star standards. It's not the Ritz but doesn't pretend to be. The location is great - it sits between the old town and la cite and vlose to restaurants and shops ( there's a nicebrasserie next door and a pizzeria just opposite) It is also clean and pretty spacious. The breakfast is simple but exactly what is needed - fresh bread/ croissants etc daily from the boulangerie at the corner of the street,/ yogurts with coffee/ tea on tap during the day (if the dining toom is open). In short it's great value for money. The owner is extremely helpful and was beyond generous with me when I had to report that my black pen had leaked on to the bedsheets and mattress. I have really enjoyed my time here. and would stay again if ever in Carcassonne

Great location close to the canal and train station. This is an old building, but the beds are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the value for money for the accommodation was excellent. Great for a weekend break or a few nights away.

Pros: proximity to the medieval Cite' and also to the train station, that middle ground that made us choose it. You have to settle because it is a two star and therefore as such no room service, the shower in the end was a tub with a curtain and there was no air conditioning but there is a fan.. everything very limited if you do not have big demands and if you use the room only to sleep as we usually do, it is not a problem. The normal breakfast, empty croissants, the Lavazza machine that does everything, two jams, yogurt, baguettes. The lady was kind and let us into the room even earlier than expected so we could leave the suitcase, she gave us the necessary information. Quiet room all in all. Cons: it is a hotel that needs a bit of maintenance in the rooms and a bit more cleaning.

Unwelcoming hotel, the room was dirty, sheep on the floor, the sheet stained and dust coming from it. The windows were filthy. The bathroom was retro and dirty, hair on the floor and in the shower... those of previous guests. No chairs or small desk to put things down. Breakfast was ok but served while on the phone... not recommended

ON THE OTHER HAND: Dilapidated appearance of the interior (hotel entrance door, wall covering, etc.) For the room: partly rusty plumbing (pitted chrome), indescribable shower curtain (multitasking), ceiling fan with broken blades, ceiling lights ditto (1 bulb out of 3) and (1 out of 2 at the head of the bed). In addition, there is an electrical outlet in the bathroom hidden by adhesive (risk??? with water next to it) In total: HELP!!!!!!

It has been a disastrous experience, in my life I had never been in a hotel so dirty, shabby, old, neglected and depressing, it is shameful that it is offered on certain platforms, I can only say in its favor the location, close to the city center and a few 20 minutes walk from the medieval city, we had breakfast, but a coffee from a machine and some croissants, little else, if I could I would put photos to prove what I say
