I stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you can’t really tell if it is clean or not. That’s actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldn’t really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you don’t leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they don’t have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center… at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop 👎🏼. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i don’t recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didn’t have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldn’t find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I don’t know why they didn’t have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.

The environment is good during the day. There is a bar downstairs. The hostess is very polite. I arrived late. Spacious. Deep colour fixtures plus not bright lighting makes the room very dark (I prefer bright environment). Some light bulbs are not functioning. The telephone system is out of order. No pen no paper. The food in the restaurant is OK.

It is not the hotel thats the problem but the hotel owner/ manager. Not only was he blunt but his customer service is appalling. His staff was coping very well but he had to interfere under mining them as well as us ,as guests I am a 62 year old married man and being told that now hes got our money he can order us out, i dont think is the correct attitude to have dealing with his guests and this was before we even got our room keys. If it wasnt for customers as myself his business wouldn't survive and after the covid epidemic , you would think he would take more appreciation than putting people off to stay at his hotel I have travelled the world and never done a review before but i couldn't let future guests be dealt with in such a disrespectful manner as this hotelier treated me

Cardiff International Airport is the only airport servicing international flights in Wales. The airport receives daily flights from several prominent cities of the world. There are several flights from London and Edinburgh by KLM airlines and Air France. There are no direct flights from the cities and the flight from London takes roughly one hour and thirty five minutes whereas the flight from Edinburg takes four to 10 hours. London flights start at £165 and Edinburg is around £130. Flights from Bristol are also not direct and take four to eight hours to travel to Cardiff. The flights are by KLM and Aer Lingus and cost £175. Amsterdam has direct flights to Cardiff which take around one hour twenty minutes to travel and cost approximately £150. There are direct flight provided by Qatar Airways from Doha and connecting flights from several Asian, Middle Eastern and African cities.
