Four Seasons Hotel, Carlingford

I had to ask to be move rooms 3 times due to the dirt of the rooms. 1st room I jumped on the bed and all dust fell off the headboard onto my face, dust also on light fittings, pic frames, phone. The bathroom was absolutely vile - orange body fat and black mould on the shower, tiles and grout, sink had a rim of scum around the plug hole and the overflow hole in the sink full of black dirt/mould. 2nd Room - wasnt as dusty but the bathroom was worse than above 3rd room - lil bit Dusty, shower was cleaner than the other 2 bathrooms but the sink was still manky dirty. at that stage i was so tired and needed a shower( wore my flip flops in the shower) i took the room. The swimming pool and changing rooms could do with a deep clean also and the floor in the sauna was black. The 3 stars are for all the staff i came in contact with, every single 1 of them was so lovely and helpful. EXCEPT the general manager I met was very patronising and spoke down to me. Until I told him the below. I studied hotel management in college, worked in many hotels. I stayed in some of the I now own a cleaning company for the past 10 years, we specialise is gym cleaning. I know what I'm talking about here. For a four star hotel I would expect every single room to be immaculate. This is why I pay to stay in nice hotels so I'm in a clean space. Very disappointed and I will never go back.

Had a really good stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful and very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The food and drinks in the restaurant was amazing, would come back here again. Would recommend!!

We had a really lovely stay, staff were super helpful and friendly. Hotel was lovely and a short walk to the town. Food was delicious. Only comment would be that the rooms were too hot at night time. If there was a way to turn off the radiators that would be ideal.

Pleasant hotel. The location is very nice. Bit disappointed with service. Breakfast was just ok. Expected it to be nicer. We were also surprised that as guests we were unable to get a drink from the bar after 11pm on a Sunday night. The rooms are nice as were the staff.

Great location friendly staff highly recommended hotel with great dining. Perfect location for a night away and carlingford is a lovely village to spend time in. Great pubs and restaurants as well as great scenery. Breakfast is carvery style with a buffet also

The hotel interior is really lovelh - the bar, especially, is so bright and spacious. The staff were so helpful annd friendly. The food (at wedding we were attending) was superb. We would definitely stay here again as it’s such a beautiful location on the waterfront.
