Beautiful boutique hotel near the desirable San Diego neighborhood. Easy to walk to all the sites in Cartegena. Would stay here again!

Perfect escape
Located in the heart of the city centre, Privado provided you with an escape from the heat, noise and vibrance of the city, allowing you a moment (or night) to re-energize and prepare for more sights and sounds of Cartagena. I would highly recommend this hotel for its location, charm, amenities, and kind and caring staff.

Privado was so cute and safe to stay inside the walled city. It is a must to stay here, it is walkable to everything. The best thing is that the walls are sound proof so you are able to sleep in and any noise or party going on outside you won’t hear. Staff is so sweet and so helpful with restaurants ect around the area. You are a short 5-7 min walk to the clock tour and downtown area. I will be returning back and staying at privado with my family.

We loved staying here. The room was perfect size. Maria was very kind and helped us with all of our questions! All the staff were very welcoming. The location was not in the chaos of the city which made it peaceful to sleep. The pool was small but perfect for a quick dip from the Cartagena heat! We would definitely return!

The property was just as gorgeous as depicted in the photos! It was in a quieter section of Centro Histórico, but close to the busier shopping streets and clubs. This part of Cartagena is so beautiful, full of cultural sites and experiences and is completely walkable for those capable of doing so.
I appreciate the need to access the property with a door code as well, adds to the level of safety.

So disappointed.
Our hopes of a wonderful end to our very long trip from Peru to Cartagena for rest and relaxation were very quickly dashed when we arrived at Privado Rooms and we were given a room by the entrance next to the road. We had booked a superior room btw.
We asked to be moved upstairs where the atmosphere was much better but to little avail. Eventually after much negotiation we were given a room downstairs with no window which we had to pay extra for but it was away from the road. The place is fine, nice area, safe but overpriced, there are many better options in Cartagena. The swimming pool is a jacuzzi on the roof.

This little Boutique hotel is gorgeous. I adore the aesthetic of the hotel inside and out. Very clean, neat has a spa vibe I felt instantly relaxed as soon as i walked in. Always had very pleasant interactions with staff super professional, efficient and helpful. Breakfast at Cande in the mornings was an added delight. Would come back again because we had a very good experience but the balcony rooms were booked and we'd love one on our next stay.
