The positives: • The location is great, making it easy to explore the city. • The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. The negatives: • The hotel lost power for at least four hours, and they don’t have a generator, leaving guests completely in the dark. • The shower had no hot water, so I had to take cold showers during my stay. • In the morning, there was a gas issue, meaning no breakfast at the hotel. They directed me to a partner hotel for breakfast, but it was 1 km away, which was very inconvenient. • I expressed my dissatisfaction with these issues to the front desk, but they offered no compensation, solutions, or even a sincere apology. While the hotel has potential, the lack of infrastructure to handle basic issues and the unwillingness to accommodate guests after major inconveniences made my stay disappointing. I would reconsider staying here unless they improve their service and reliability.

The hotel is situated in the vibrant Getsemani neighborhood, full of restaurants and nightlife, about a 15-minute walk from the Clock Tower, within the Walled City. The location is great, although the area is not very charming and has some dirty streets. The impeccable and friendly service of the staff was the highlight of the stay. The hotel is simple but clean, and the staff always offers cold juices upon arrival. The apartment has air conditioning, a minibar, and a comfortable bed. I liked the shower, but the bathroom is small and the sink is in the room. There was no hairdryer (I had to ask at the reception) and some equipment, such as the safe and the TV remote, didn't work. The hotel doesn't have an elevator. Breakfast isn't buffet-style, you pick from a menu with a few choices (some are free, others cost extra). It wasn't amazing, but it hit the spot. Even with these minor inconveniences, I would stay at Casa Isabel again.

We liked everything about this hotel. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from shops and restaurants and made a great base for our stay in Cartagena. The hotel is a comfortable place to stay with areas to sit in the reception area and on the rooftop. The room we had was clean and comfortable and we had a room with a balcony and a view to San Felipe Fort. The staff in the hotel were really helpful and friendly and there is a good selection for breakfast too. Great hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. Whether you’re sipping on a refreshing cocktail or simply soaking in the view, it’s an experience that feels truly magical.

The reason I booked this hotel is due to the five stars on Tripadvisor. I firmly believe that the hotel has found a way delete their negative reviews. However, the staff is very nice and I very much appreciated that. I booked the room over *******, and called and spoke with the Hotel front desk, emphasizing that I needed a quiet room Above All. The manager assured me that I would have a very quiet room. When I arrived at the hotel he said that he upgraded my room at no extra charge. He led me to my room, which was small, nice and had a lovely view of the fort and downtown. However, the room was extremely loud. It was on a street that has party buses that drive-by frequently for a number of hours with blaring, loud, pounding music. I knew there was no way that I would sleep, so I went down to the hotel front desk around 10 PM. The hotel staff gave me another room. It was not at all what the pictures looked like. It was worth potentially $50 per night, not $125. Weird small room. No windows. Bunk beds with a terrible mattress. The paint on the ceiling was cracked in multiple places right above my face on the upper bed. I left the hotel after the first night even though I had paid for two nights. There was no way I was staying there a second night. The hotel manager and owner said they would refund me for the second night, however it has been three days and I have not received a refund . I am very disappointed and no longer trust Trip Advisor. Also, note that regarding the negative reviews for this hotel on TripAdvisor, the hotel staff argues and fights each negative comment. That was a red flag that I ignored. Sad that this how my trip to Columbia ended.
