The hostel is in a great location and the central areas are nice. However there are no photos of the dorm rooms for a reason - they are tiny and cramped, and we weren’t given a key to the door - anyone could walk in off the street and into our room. The fan broke in half in the middle of the night and the AC is controlled by the reception team and only on at night (and very low then). Although they did replace the fan the next day, generally the staff were not very helpful and very reluctant to turn the AC up despite our room being swelteringly hot. The beds are pretty comfortable but the top bunks are quite wobbly and I fell off trying to get down. The breakfast included is OK but very basic - if you wanted anything more than a tiny cube of butter on your toast you have to pay more.

Disappointing experience. Not sure why the reviews are good. To start the rooms are the most cramped dorm rooms I’ve been in so far, it makes navigating the room with others inside nearly impossible. The lockers are also super small and inconvenient. The bed sheets do not stay on the mattress with the sheets all having lots their elastic. The shower doors are super stiff, I got stuck in multiple times. The pool is absolutely tiny and full of bugs. As for the AC they keep the remotes at the desk and won’t let you turn up the strength so it was essentially useless, the rooms don’t have a single breeze so every night I stayed there, it was unbearably hot. The fan was also broken. The breakfast was also super disappointing, it says breakfast included but you actually have to pay extra to get a proper meal. E.g. the pancakes come with no toppings at all, if you want maple syrup or fruits or bacon it’s all extra. Finally to top it off, the staff is all super rude. Not welcoming at all, seem super annoyed anytime you ask them anything, and very unhelpful. The only redeeming thing about this place is the location which is great.

We stayed in a dorm room, the beds were very comfortable & there was air conditioning & a fan in the room. Free breakfast every day including pancakes, eggs, fruit and juice. We thought the hostel was quite quiet with not much going on, however the location is good for getting to bars/ restaurants. The hostel had many cats roaming around which was also a nice touch 😊

I'm unsure whether to mark this a 3 or a 4. The staff were super friendly and the bar area is awesome. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch and the breakfast was good quality with pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit. There's also a little pool which is lovely when you want a break from the Cartagena heat. It's in a great location with proximity to so many things. They also had some evening activities like salsa. The rooms itself I felt were a little dingy with little outside light and I didn't love the communal bathrooms with open sinks etc. I didn't like that you had to rent towels too when all the other hostels I stayed at in Colombia provided them. Ultimately I decided to cut short my stay by a night and stay in a hotel nearby for my last night in Colombia.

Fue mi primera vez en un Hostel y no fue tan incomodo como pense que seria. Banos aseados, piscina limpia y el desayuno viene incluido (lo bueno es que hay variedad). Lo que mejoraria seria la limpieza despues de las lluvias ya que varias veces se quedaba emposada el agua en el pasaje y el control de los gatos, en mas de una ocacion me hurgaron la comida y la tuve que terminar botando al igual que el agua que bebia, ya que uno de los gatos aparecia y se la tomaba, creo que no es saludable ya que el gato al tomar agua de los vasos que estan en el lobby nos expone a contagiarnos de algo. Todos los recepcionistas y personal de limpieza fueron buenos.
