The greatest asset of the hotel is the front desk staff on duty during the day and night. They were genuinely helpful and went beyond the call of duty to solve my problems with Royal Air Maroc and airport taxis. A pity that the same cannot be said about the barman in the restaurant who showed no interest in his few customers, myself included. I had a suite, the only room left when I checked in at 1 am; it was spacious and comfortable, with a small balcony commanding a city view. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special.

Excellent. Deserves it's 4 star rating. Why? It's staff. Firstly a super friendly and efficient Khadija is on reception. Always able to assist with a smile. Also Mohamed who provided a welcome assistance at the restaurant and superb room service. I have travelled to many places in the world and this surely tops my list at feeling most at ease. A large, well equipped room with excellent sound proofing. Great Wifi, a good sized bathroom, main room and a balcony which is really a little terrace. Super clean thanks to an efficient, friendly room cleaning. Comfortable beds and smart clean cotton linen. Everything works well in the room. Breakfast buffet was good with a smooth decent coffee that for once doesn't rip your tonsils out. The evening meal provides a limited menu. We didn't check out the other facilities such as swimming pool sauna and the like but this is a hotel my wife and I would be pleased to return to.

Very clean rooms and extremely friendly staff. Nothing is too much to ask of the staff. This hotel was located very conveniently for my work. My room had a small terrace, which was perfect to get outside when I was sending Emails when I returned after a long day. The restaurant had a great selection to suit most people. My stay was extremely comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Gavin

They have taken a few liberties with their website description. Yes, the rooms are clean and new but you can every noise from the room next door so don't expect an undisturbed sleep. Also, the restaurant is a huge disappointment. It is a set menu with little choice and our meal was served cold. There is nowhere close by to use an alternative either. There is a bar but has no alcohol so be prepared. The pool was barely warm when we were there and the mirrors in the fitness needed cleaning. There were no towels or water available in there either. The Golden Star falls far short of a four-star category hotel.
