Hotel Cacciani

Booked multiple rooms with friends as we were attending a wedding nearby. We just needed a place to sleep and for that it was great, to us it was perfect that check in starts at 12.00. I do think that the price quality ratio is a little on the high side as its not even in central rome. The breakfast did not have a very large selection, mainly pastries and other sweet choices.

Just had an amazing 3 nights stay at this lovely hotel in Frascati. Tucked around the back streets, with reception in the hotel restaurant next door & 24 entrance to tap in through small door. Book in and check out very efficient with superb location to the station (exit hotel, turn right, then first right down flight stairs to station car park. No noise from trains. Whilst this hotel might need updated decor, its personality super-cedes this! We had twin room, comfortable beds with modern en-suite bathroom, double glazed windows and pull up wooden shutters (cord by side) to block sun if needed. Fresh towels every day, very clean compact rooms, hairdryer in bathroom with a few toiletries. Restaurants, cafes, church, square are literally few minutes walk Because of its central location do expect a degree of noise if windows left open as Air-con is seasonal! Breakfast is served between 7-30 & 9am continental with amazing cappuccino, tea , juice, pastries, cheese, ham, fruit, yogurt you can eat in front lobby area or some did eat on veranda. Exceptional price compared to other hotels would 100 percent recommend and stay again Would just like to thank ALL of the super friendly, thoughtful staff at this hotel who made our stay so welcoming & kindly made sure an iron & board was ready in our room on arrival, as we had a wedding to attend. Also helping us book our return taxi to the airport and chase this up without asking when it was late and give us some snacks to take as missed breakfast due to departure time If you are looking to use the train into Rome a return ticket was 9 euros for 2 people with just half hour journey-be aware it will state on screen if a change may be needed at Ciampino to change train. We visited station day before to check train times, can pay by card. Once purchased remember to activate them before your journey in the separate little green egg shaped machines it puts a stamp on them. Place ticket in machine slot to the right then move left and you hear a click

Nice hotel the staff very helpful very clean great location for Rome and surrounding areas the station is a 5min walk , the trains a 25 min journey into Rome , Buses run very frequently to other areas, the hotel is in the middle of town and located perfect , we had a problem as there was no Air-conditioning so they upgraded us to a balcony with lovely views but still very hot, the breakfast is very and I mean very basic not a lot of choice, we ate in the restaurant one night , not a great choice on the menu and not very good food I'm sorry to say and compared to surrounding restaurants a lot more expensive, but don't let that put you off ..... nice rooms.. great location .. food poor

Hotel Cacciani is well located in the centre of Frascati, and near the train station. Good direct connection from Rome Termini. Spotless rooms, large bathroom. Great view from our private balcony. Airconditioning didn’t work, a ventilator was put in the room instead, but this is not sufficient when temperatures are over 30°C. Simple but good breakfast, Italian style. Good cappuccino. Very good value for the money in this family run hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, which we can highly recommend. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent food and amazing views.

The single large headlamp of the train slowly approaching the little station in the gathering dusk was a welcome sight. We had omitted to change at Ciampino on our way to Frascati from Roma Termini. When we realised our mistake the ticket inspector let us off at a small station and assured us he would phone so that the train to Frascati would stop there. Time passed and we became anxious but here it was and we were on our way again. Much later than expected we arrived again at Cacciani’s. The family who own the hotel were concerned and sympathetic, we were sat down, water, wine and prosciutto and figs were brought. Soon we were sipping wine on our large private room balcony, gazing at the twinkling lights of Rome in the distance as a prelude to a comfortable night’s sleep. That was a few years ago, the pandemic intervened and eventually, we got back again in late August - September 2022. The same warm welcome, the same family owners, the same staff, both front of house and housekeeping, friendly and professional. The ambience of the balcony of the restaurant, also overlooking Rome, coupled with gentle guidance through the menu enabled us to experience their classic Italian cuisine, lovingly prepared and served. It never fails to please. Cacciani’s is on the edge of the charming historical centre of Frascati. Narrow cobbled streets, secluded piazzas, the piazza in front of the cathedral and its environs bustling with families, plenty of opportunities for coffee and people watching, snacking or shopping, Frascati is a safe and relaxing place to stay. It’s also quick, easy and cheap to get to Rome on the train or the other lovely towns in the Castelli Romani by bus or train. Caccini's is the perfect base from which to explore all these. We love it and can’t wait to return.
