Ivy Tower Hotel

Fantastic hotel... spotlessly clean .....great staff.....great breakfast Can't find any faults with this hotel at all.i only wish we had a longer stay.We were very well looked after by the staff.Four women 40/60 age group and we felt very comfortable here10/10

One of the cleanest and very friendly Hotel that I have stayed in for a long time. Food was really good and the bar was very comfortable. No need to leave the hotel at all. We had original booked for 2 nights but because of all of the above we stay an extra night. Thank you to Mary and staff for a lovely holiday.

I can’t recommend The Ivy Tower Hotel enough! Mary, the owner, was absolutely lovely and could not be any more accommodating! Such lovely staff who seem genuinely invested in making your stay memorable. The bar food was very reasonably priced and the breakfast was gorgeous also! Would & will be recommending this hotel to family and friends! Definitely will be returning myself in the future.

We were kicked out of the hotel bar at 1am. Late bars close at 2. Hotel bars can be open longer. No harm I thought, I have to drive home tomorrow. Might as well get some sleep. No. People are screaming outside as I type this at 4am. I went down stairs and saw people still in the bar. So I asked one of the staff coming out if the car was still open. He said "no, the staff are gone". So I went back up and quietly sat on a seat outside my room (I was with 2 friends who I didn't want to disturb). I was promptly told by said staff member as he was walking past that I couldn't sit there at night. I told him I couldn't sleep because of the noise outside to which he replied "nothing I can do about that". Great. I guess I'll just crash my car driving home tomorrow.

I slept fine, but my dad had the worst sleep he’s ever had in his life. His room was above the smoking area of the bar with people shouting until 3am. Ontop of this there was a Constantine banging of a door being opened and closed. Wouldn’t recommend

This was our first stay at The Ivy Tower Hotel and we were very impressed. The reception, service, room hygiene, food, and overall service was just excellent. The Hotel is of Gotic deco and a little dated, but the service is right up to date. The receptionist gave us valuable local information on what to do and shared golden nuggets of information that totally enhanced our stay. The lounge bar served up the best pint of Guinness I ever had, and the food served is superb. It was mid June yet they had the room heating on and at a comfortable setting as it was quite chilly outside for June. This set the mood for our totally enjoyable visit. A superb location in the centre of Castlebar, at a very competitive price. We will be back.
