"Perhaps the authorities tote up a range perks and facilities to give a hotel a rating. From a much traveled customer's point of view, this is a 3 star hotel trying to be a 4. In some ways, that is a good thing. The staff is very nice. The dining room puts out some very fine food, although I wouldn't say the same about breakfast that was quite pedestrian. They have the right color for the orange juice, but it and the pastries are very underwhelming. Nice hallway carpeting, clean rooms, thick towels, but you can't hide that the plant is pretty utilitarian '70s or '80s design. The only thing "privileged" about our upgraded room is that it was in the back near the parking lot and the not yet opened pool. The location is convenient, away from the congested downtown and relatively quiet. We have stayed in many Mercure and Accor facilities. This one is working hard to meet the standard. In some ways, they succeed. But they aren't quite there."

"It's the first time in my life I've got to do with a similar situation where I've already started the delicate outdoor of the polling holes in the parking the very dirty rooms a terrible smell of mosi wallpapers that could the crashed bathroom of the pulses Everywhere the beds( if you can't call it beds )a more hygiene than doubtful wet cushions no climate a stuffing heat I've sleeped dressed with a cap under the beds not cleaning since lights we had to book for 2 nights from the the next day after having passed night white one is refunded the 2nd night(on refunds us without bronching I don't think we are the 1er to get refunded)impossible to pass a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in a night in bee still open it's quite unhealthy"

"Having read recent positive reviews we were disappointed immediately on arrival. Firstly the steep and winding staircase from the street entrance to reach the reception area, and then, many more stairs to reach the 'First Floor' ! No a/c but an electric fan provided. Although the window view overlooks the river it is separated from the bed area by washbasin and w.c, and a toilet, so narrow to squeeze into. Directly under our room a Tapas bar with plentiful outside seating. The noise and music continued until 1.30 am and this apart from the sound of bikes and cars from the street The instruction leaflet in the room did advise to be quiet after 10.00pm to respect the neighbours, as my wife would say "What planet are these people on" The wifi was totally unreliable, I had to use my phone to get a decent signal. Unfortunately not even one good point to report"
