Ferrini Home - Residence 150

Nice apartments. Clean, spacious, very easy to communicate with staff. We were allowed early check-in, which was very helpful.

We booked deluxe flat with terrace for a one week. We booked straight from Ferrini homes website. The flat wasn’t what promised on website. There is not two ”real” room, but the second one is only a cramped loft above the kitchen, where there is no window, but the window opening in the kitchen extends right up to the loft. All sounds can be heard from the kitchen to the loft. The "living room" was just a small sitting area for two or at most three. The terrace was big, but the sun never shone there. There was also no promised view. There was no coat rack for outerwear. Also, the promised microwave and clothes ironing equipment were only available on separate request. The kitchen equipment was scarce. The stairs up are narrow and there is no place for suitcases at the top. The walls are thin and the sounds of neighboring apartments can be heard through. The area is uncomfortable and you have to go through dark, narrow alleys to get to the apartment. Walking in the dark is not recommended in this area. From the street, the noise of nightlife and traffic can be heard inside at night. It was difficult to open the front door. Once it was not even possible to get out of the apartment. Not very safe in a fire or other emergency. Wifi couldn't work at all. It was also difficult to turn on the television. The bed in the bedroom was good, although there was a lot of dust and garbage under it. I felt cheated.

Great customer service, actually most perfect one we’ve got so far in Italy during our trip. Appartments are clean, renovated with a good taste and make you feel like home and not in a hotel. Location is central and is within walking distance to all recommended restaurants and attractions. We were driving and despite rumors it was pretty easy to find street parking even during peak times. Definitely recommend this place to stay during your stay in Catania.
