We booked this as a treat at the end of a golden triangle tour and it lived up to expectations. As mentioned in other reviews- you access the haveli through a couple of narrow lanes by foot- our tour driver phoned ahead and we were met at the car and then escorted and our luggage brought for us by the hotel team. The haveli is an oasis in a busy area that reflects old Delhi. Personally, as we had spent time in the three triangle cities we were used to Indian city life so weee not shocked by the general area and felt safer in the local streets than ***y we had been in before. The hotel is beautiful and the service was great- there is a general tip box which was a relief after negotiating the minefield of tipping what to who and when. The roof top area was a highlight and the rooms were all well- appointed with real character. So beautiful. We loved our stay and would recommend as a treat at the end rather than the beginning of a trip ( not sure other places could compare!)

This is a high tariff hotel so guest expectations are high. It’s very popular for lunch and evening dinner with outside tourists including larger groups. There is a set vegetarian/non veg option which attracts the groups. Al la carte is also available. Our advice is to reserve a specific table. The hotel is not currently using its advertised rooftop restaurant but some guests took sundowners here. We enjoyed the Indian high tea at 2,000 p/p. The dinner is well presented. It will cost approximately 4,000 -5,000 for a couple. We enjoyed the traditional music during dinner and the dancing which is a shorter perfor***ce than we expected, on the upper balcony and completed twice a night over the weekend. It’s in a prime location to experience Chandni Chowk, red fort, Jain temple and Jama Masijd. This is what you’re paying for. We took a guide initially and then dipped back in and out independently. We found it congested but safe. We enjoyed flying a kite one afternoon. The rooms are comfortable but the traditional music is constant from 7-10pm which can affect rest in the rooms. Bring ear plugs if this bothers you. We liked the room names linked to location and brief history. Photos displayed the renovation of the Havelli. The transfer is smooth if you are prepared to pay the higher price for a taxi at arrival and departure. Staff are amenable and servers are proud of their traditional dishes. The hair dryers need modernisation for speed and ease of use. We loved the recommended reading book in the room and will read and purchase once home. It’s a unique experience, stretching the budget depending on your view. Breakfast is adequate but doesn’t wow again for the price point.

Haveli Dharampura is a mesmerising journey through time. Its majestic architecture and hospitality transport you to a bygone era of grandeur and elegance. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like royalty, surrounded by the rich history and cultural heritage of Old Delhi.

Interesting hotel tucked away in the back streets of Delhi. Staff very pleasant and food good. Stay totally spoilt by unnecessary piped music playing loudly from a speaker right outside room. Due to early start, wanted reasonable early night but it was impossible to sleep. Courtyard style made noise carry more.

The food is exceptional, service super professional and friendly. Only one problem, airco noise in court during dinner is really annoying. Rajan was wonderful with us. My wife ask info on recipes and she got ***y clear info. If coming before you can enjoy a great terrace sunset. 😎

I have no trouble recommending Haveli Dharampura, it’s a lovely oasis in Old Delhi. The area is down an ancient narrow lane. Arrange to be met and guided in. All of the staff were wonderful and accommodating. We stayed in Golden Haveli and ate Dharampura close by. Our room was very comfortable with drinking water and lovely home made sweets and savoury snacks provided. The whole premises was clean and obviously meticulously cared for. The novel left in the room was well recieved. This is just what we wanted in Old Delhi. Kite flying and dance displays were an added bonus, as were the superb sunset views from the roof. Special shout out to the front of house person at Golden Haveli. He was very helpful, friendly and made us feel at home.

I had an unfortunate experience when I visited the restaurant at Haveli Dharampura. It was quite disappointing to learn that the restaurant would be closing at 10 pm, especially since we arrived at 9.15 pm. The staff seemed rushed and hurried to take our order. As we were in Old Delhi, we had higher expectations for the food, but unfortunately, it was only average. The pathway leading to the haveli was also quite chaotic, with street dogs and unpleasant surroundings. Considering that they operate a boutique hotel, it would be beneficial for them to ensure that their guests have a pleasant arrival experience. Moreover, the billing process took an excessive 30 minutes, which was another letdown. Based on my experience, I cannot confidently recommend anyone to visit this place.
