Plaza Hotel Harco Mangga Dua at Komplek Harco Elektronik is a disappointing stay that I cannot recommend to anyone.
The issues started immediately at check-in, which is listed online as 2:00 AM, though it is actually 2:00 PM. The room quality falls short even by budget standards, performing worse than a typical OYO while costing slightly more. Inside, the bedroom offered little more than a bed—and a poorly kept one at that, with dirty bedsheets and stray hairs scattered across the room. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout, from the unwashed shower and dirty floors to the heavy mosquito presence. While cups were provided, amenities like tea bags or coffee were completely missing.
Breakfast is practically non-existent, limited to white rice, hard-boiled eggs in sambal, and cold, dried-out noodles. I booked based on previous guest photos and breakfast promises, which turned out to be misleading. At roughly £17 for two nights, you are far better off booking an OYO opposite Mangga Dua for around 50,000 IDR (£2.50) per night and saving your money. After two nights, I quickly relocated back to Senen and advise travelers to skip this hotel entirely.
