Can only describe this as a “quirky” hotel with a very eclectic mix of rooms and furnishings… Situated right on the banks of the River Marne… I can imagine it would have been very prestigious at one time…. The hotel and room was comfortable, but I suggest that the cuisine is the star of the show.. Fantastic food adn great wine selection… The host/owner was extremely welcoming and he is the chef… Definitely worth a stop/visit if in the area Disliked · I think the outside areas (although it had rained a lot!) could have been tidier and better kept as it did detract from the view/feel

Suant et soufflant apres une journée de rando velo, nous avons ete extrêmement bien accueilli au Gonfalon. Le propriétaire est au petit soin. Les chambres a l'etage avec terrasse qui donnent sur la marne sont extrêmement agréables. Nous avons également énormément aimé le diner en terrasse (pensez à réserver !). Le menu dégustation permet d'apprecier un grand nombre de saveurs et est parfaitement proportionné. Nous sommes repartis heureux et ressourcés pour la suite de notre randonnée. Une très belle adresse

Wir wollten im Juli in diesem Restaurant unser Nachtessen einnehmen. Der Wirt war sehr unfreundlich und hat gesagt, dass an dem von uns angefragten Tag schon alles besetzt sei. Von unseren Gastgebern haben wir später erfahren, dass der Wirt nur Gäste annehme, die im passen. Unser lockeres Ferientenü hat ihm offenbar nicht gefallen.

Nous avons diner et dormi dans cette établissement Acceuil soigné et attentif de la part d'un professionnel passionné Bonne cuisine et très bon service dans un cadre très joli et cossu Produits frais, carte courte et du tout maison : foie gras, ris de veau et dessert. Etablissement ou l'on se soucie du détail, démarche qui devient de plus en plus rare. Je recommande très vivement cet endroit. Monsieur le propriétaire, surtout ne changez rien Encore merci

J'ai passé une nuit à l'hotel Gonfalon. Ma chambre au 2e etage était charmante, très bien équipée, et très calme. Le petit déjeuner était excellent et copieux. Mention spéciale à la terrasse très agréable en bord de Marne, et aux propriétaires qui sont charmants et attentionnés.

A l'occasion d'un weekend sur Meaux, nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'accueil et la qualité de l'hébergement au Gonfalon. Nous recommandons chaudement cet hotel à dimension humaine où les clients ne sont pas que des numéros de chambre !

Quel plaisir de trouver encore ce genre d'hôtel à l'ancienne, avec toute sa personnalité, une très jolie chambre avec véranda sur la Marne, merci au propriétaire qui nous a surclassés, le calme et le chant des oiseaux, dans un joli village. Petit déjeuner en terrasse, délicieux, très complet et raffiné, tout était de très bonne qualité. Un merveilleux moment et un repas gastronomique...
