This is a clean but basic homestay in a quaint little town on top of the hill. Mr. Man Mohan Shreshta - the owner is a good host and a known person in town who is extremely knowledgeable, too . The only problem is the steep walk from the Bus Park and even the town centre i.e. Palpa Durbar and Sitalpati/Gol Ghar.

The City View Guesthouse in Tansen is one of those little gems that one finds off the beaten track. The rooms are simple, very clean and functional with sola hot water and located just around the corner from an excellent bakery and several good restaurants. Man-Mohan is a wonderful host and his daughter Jeni, is utterly charming. Breakfast or a coffee on the rooftop terrace is a must. City View is featured consistently in the LP Guide and can be booked easily online. Tansen is a delightful hill station packed full of traditional architecture and relaxing things to do. Highly recommended.

If you want to know the local culture, food , festival and their glorious history then must stay in Homestay. We have got a opportunity to stay here in city view Homestay. A small family running this one. Mr. Manmohan uncle and his family is the best host ,he is 74yrs old but looking like 60 yrs. He is a retired professor and very knowledgeable and humble person. Aunty and her daughter is a very caring and great cook also. It's a home away from your home. She made best dinner for us , I prefer home made food mostly. The mountain view from terrace is beautiful. At last uncle greet us in local tradition. Overall, its a great experience for me, if I got the chance,want to stay here again. Thank You so much for your hospitality 🙏

Firsr of all, do not miss Tansen, it's a wonderful, peaceful little city, full of treasures to discover strolling up and down the streets.. You will find delicious food in Flame of the Forest, real coffee in Tansen cafe, great kulfi at the dairy shop, and above all of this, the cosy family CITY VIEW home stay where Manmohan Sir will take you under his wing to make you discover the city he was born in: you will hear stories of the past, history of the monuments, you will treck in the forest and nearby villages, and be treated as part of the family. Enjoy peace and harmony at this place.

My friend & I arrived in Tansen for a break from the hustle & bustle of Nepal’s busier cities. This homestay is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Tansen. The family are extremely welcoming & kind - they provided delicious breakfast & the best Dhal Bhat in Nepal ( I ate over 40 during my month there!). Furthermore, they were very helpful with travel arrangements & places to see & go in Tansen & the surrounding area. The rooms were comfortable, spacious & clean. The shower temperature & wi-fi were also great. Brilliant place to stay if you’re looking to embrace Nepali culture & take it easy for a couple of days.
