HUATIAN CHOICE HOTEL (Changsha Wuyi Square IFS) Reviews

This is my third time staying here in Changsha. The location is convenient, the street view is nice, and there's a fantastic food street right behind the building downstairs. Awesome!

First, let's talk about the location: it's absolutely fantastic and super convenient. The subway station is right next to the hotel; just turn right when you exit, and you'll find Heiwado, Changsha Spring, Wangfujing, IFS, and the Pedestrian Street. Behind the hotel is Jiefang West, so you'll never be short of great food options like Zhang Jiawen and Ben Luobo. If you want to buy local specialties, the famous Hunan braised duck can be found right downstairs. As for hygiene, it was pretty good. I was quite worried after reading some negative reviews before checking in. The room air wasn't particularly fresh, which I think is probably due to the small window opening and insufficient ventilation. However, the cleanliness wasn't as bad as some reviews claimed. Many negative reviews mentioned the paid toiletries, which cost 59 RMB. Personally, I think it's your own fault if you didn't see the clearly marked price of 59.9 RMB. And 59.9 RMB isn't as expensive as some bad reviews make it out to be, because it's not just a simple toothbrush and toothpaste. It also includes a disposable four-piece set and a few disposable towels. For that standard, the price is really fair. I certainly can't buy a set of toiletries of the same quality for 59 RMB. The hotel's bedding was very comfortable, quite similar to the Atour bedding I use at home, perhaps even more comfortable. The hairdryer was a Laifen brand, which is a big plus for women. The value for money is also excellent. We came for a concert during the Dragon Boat Festival, so holiday prices were slightly higher than usual. On weekdays, it seems to be priced at around 300-400 RMB, which is definitely worth it for this location and price point. Of course, there are some minor complaints: the breakfast was indeed a bit disappointing. It felt like it was only worth about 20 to 30 RMB.

Terrible front desk service, severely delayed my travel plans. Not recommended for travelers catching high-speed trains or flights! I checked out around 10 AM today and properly stored my luggage. I returned to the hotel at 12 PM to collect it, only to be told by the front desk that I had to wait until housekeeping completed their room inspection. Two full hours had passed since I checked out, and the staff made no effort to arrange the inspection, simply citing that the front desk was too busy. I was in a hurry to catch my high-speed train. Despite repeatedly communicating and urging them, the front desk's efficiency was extremely low, causing significant delays. I ended up missing my scheduled train, completely disrupting my itinerary and incurring additional costs for rebooking and transportation. The experience was absolutely terrible. Luggage storage after checkout is a basic hotel service. Two hours after checkout is more than enough time to complete a room inspection. The hotel staff was negligent, and their procedures were chaotic, shifting the burden of their internal operational oversights onto the guest. While the hotel's location is indeed good, the service does not match it. Travelers who need to catch transportation should seriously reconsider staying here.

This hotel is super convenient, just 100 meters from Exit 1 of Changsha Metro Line 2. Downstairs, there are convenience stores, snack shops, and Tea Color (a local tea drink chain). It's also only about 500 meters from Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street. My room was surprisingly quiet despite being in a busy area, and the AC worked perfectly. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changsha!

Since we were a family of three, the front desk staff thoughtfully gave us a complimentary breakfast, and there was even a free sweet soup in the evening – really appreciate it! 👍

The location is super convenient! It's an easy walk from Wuyi Square Station on Line 2, and close to the river and all the main attractions. Plus, there's a food street right downstairs. The hotel staff were very attentive, and they offer a buffet, gym, and self-service laundry room. Overall, a great experience!

The location is very convenient, close to the subway station and Wuyi Square. However, the room is quiet, so our rest wasn't disturbed by the bustling area. The lobby's public facilities are also well-equipped, making it easy to relax there temporarily. They offer luggage storage, and the staff is very responsible.

The hotel's location is right on the pedestrian street, the environment is great, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is quite good.

They upgraded our room, which was great! The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station, making it easy to get to Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street and Taiping Old Street. The room itself was spacious, the bathroom had no strange smells, and the bed was very comfortable.

The location is fantastic! Whenever we got tired from exploring, we could just pop back to the hotel for a rest. It's clean and comfortable. My only minor gripe is that the hallway perfume was a bit too strong. When you're traveling, location is key, and this place delivers. There are so many popular spots nearby, you can even queue up for them in advance.

Excellent location, very close to the subway exit, Taiping Old Street, and Orange Isle. The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were very friendly. I highly recommend trying the vinegar-steamed chicken at nearby Ben Luobo – it's absolutely amazing!

This is our 2nd time stay here during Changsha visit. Great location and the hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Walking distance to most popular places. Also, we have to do laundry everyday due to family traveling. Self laundry room is pretty nice. We also enjoyed the 3rd floor foot&body massage spa. Great stay again.

The room was spacious and bright, and the hotel is conveniently located near the subway. It's in a great spot, surrounded by a bustling commercial area and a pedestrian street. However, the bathroom and toilet are separate, which makes it a bit inconvenient to grab a towel. On the positive side, the breakfast and service were both good.
