Holiday Inn CHANGZHOU WUJIN by IHG

I booked this hotel for my child's school enrollment in Changzhou, and I was very satisfied with Xiaofan's reception and arrangements. The hotel room was clean and new, and its location is super close to Changzhou University, making it very suitable for families with children enrolling in school. The service was warm and thoughtful.

The room was okay, but the decor clearly showed its age and was quite worn out. The location was decent. The free pool wasn't great, and there wasn't much to do in the surrounding area. There were a few late-night food stalls a few hundred meters away.

My first trip to Changzhou was due to a device malfunction, and it turned out to be fantastic! First, a big thanks to @Weiji for the warm welcome. My room had a direct view of Central Park from the window, lush and green! I'd say this is the best value-for-money five-star hotel I've ever stayed in. Although it seemed pretty empty, with hardly anyone checking in, the upside was that breakfast wasn't a chaotic battle. The cleaning auntie was worried my Pu'er tea was expensive, so she didn't dare pour it out and even left a note under the teacup explaining. Amazing! The biggest surprise was the swimming pool – super large and almost deserted, so I got to experience two 'VIP' swims. It's really ideal for company team-building events or family trips with kids. Even though the hotel was built in 2008, the air conditioning is incredibly quiet, and the soundproofing is excellent. It's also not far from Wuyue Plaza and Qingguo Lane (Jiangnan Celebrity Lane), with very convenient metro and BRT access.

A very good hotel, though a bit old and showing its age in terms of decor. However, it has everything you need, including a gym and swimming pool. The service is also great, especially Joey at the front desk – he deserves a special shout-out!

The room was really old, no proper shower, the sheets were grey, and the breakfast was terrible. Overall, it was a very poor experience.
