First, let's talk about the location. It's indeed very convenient, right in the heart of the ancient city, making it easy to get anywhere. However, the private hot spring in our room was out of order on the day we stayed. Even after filling it for several hours, the water level only reached about 8cm, so the kids couldn't enjoy it at all. Although the butler had a great attitude, it couldn't make up for us missing out on the hot spring experience. Regarding the complimentary activity, we chose the colored porcelain workshop at 10:30, thinking it was free. When we got there, we were given a bunch of plates and dishes, and after painting 6 of them, we were charged 200. I suggest they stop recommending these paid activities in the future. Not only was it a waste of time, but the experience wasn't good either.

Staying here during the Chinese New Year, and now I'm back to give a well-deserved good review! The hotel is located right on the bustling pedestrian street of the Ancient City Archway Street, making its location superb. It's within walking distance to popular attractions like Guangji Bridge, Kaiyuan Temple, and the foodie haven Xishi Street, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is small yet beautiful, with exquisite and luxurious decor that's full of design flair. It's truly a designer hotel with artistic taste. What particularly stands out is the butler's thoughtful service. They proactively contacted us before check-in, and after we arrived, they even arranged a Gongfu tea tasting experience. On the night we left, due to temporary road closures for the festival, we needed to take a detour to walk out of the ancient city. The butler actively offered to escort us out. In the end, they even called another female staff member from the hotel, and the two of them drove us and our luggage out of the ancient city on their electric scooters, staying with us until we reached a convenient spot to hail a ride-sharing service. I am extremely satisfied and grateful for the dedicated service from the butler and their colleague! I highly recommend staying at this Imperial Hotel when you visit Chaozhou.

YUY Hotel was a huge disappointment. The design feels poorly thought out and impractical, and the overall experience was far below expectations. From the layout to the service flow, nothing felt comfortable or well-managed. What looked promising in photos turned out to be frustrating in reality. Unfortunately, the stay did not deliver the quality or atmosphere it claimed, and I would not recommend it to travelers looking for a well-designed or enjoyable hotel experience.
