This is the best hotel in Chaozhou, located in the city's tallest building.
**Pros:** It's conveniently located near attractions like the Thai Buddha Temple and Han Wengong Temple, all within walking distance. Upon check-in, the front desk agent kindly upgraded us to a river-view room for free and proactively informed us about the member benefits. She also asked if we needed extra toiletries and slippers, demonstrating excellent, proactive service. As soon as we entered the room, an attendant quickly brought the additional items. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a great view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The layout of the room's amenities was well-thought-out and very convenient. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. Although there was a minor issue, the management's attitude towards identifying, acknowledging, and resolving the problem was commendable. The Chinese restaurant on the third floor offers excellent value for money, a great option if you prefer not to dine out.
**Cons:** Despite confirming a late 2 PM checkout multiple times and having it recorded in their system, the front desk called at 1:10 PM on the day of checkout, asking us to leave by 1:30 PM. This was a bit confusing and, while a minor incident, it made us feel rushed, which wasn't a great experience.
Overall, the hotel is fantastic, and I would definitely choose Crowne Plaza again if I return to Chaozhou.
