Went with friends who had Sunday lunch here a year ago and enjoyed it . It was very disappointing . As a vegetarian I was surprised that the menu didn't display veggie or vegan options. Luckily I can read so was able to ascertain what might be suitable options . I ordered the noodle vegetable stir fry . It was black bean sauce .,not specified on the menu ..swimming in oi vegetables were mushroom peppers and onion . Not a smattering of protein , and whilst the menu was non specific ...I had hoped or rather anticipated ....so my mistake here ....it tasted okay greasy but edible ...not filling . My friends all carnivores went for what seemed to be safe meat options . Two had moving mountain burgers . Now as I say I am a veggie and had never heard of these ...turned out they were vegetarian .,.no mention on the menu .....although to be fair the menu has a huge list of possible allergens on the back .....bit back covering rather than helpful IMHO . They ate them but found them a bit dry and towards the end my partner was struggling to finish . At this point she wondered if she was eating a veggie burger.....turns out she was !!! Our friend who had already finished had a bit of a wobble as she has in the past reacted badly to quotn ...luckily these burgers weren't quorn .....but a good 10 minutes panic ensued . Now we accept the food had been eaten ..no arguments here .....they felt a bit duped as they had expected meat , and the burgers were meaty ,,....but we're not as they had expected ot had been led to believe by the menus less than clear description . This however is not what we were unhappy about ...we were unhappy about the staff response to our trying to raise our disappointment . We were offered free drinks ....not an option as we were offered to the theatre and needed to leave . The waiting staff told us people often didn't realize these burgers are veggie , we asked to speak to the manager who reiterated the drinks offer and acknowledged our disappointment , but didn't offer another option as the food had been eaten . No arguments it had ...and tasted like meat ....just wasn't what was expected or advertised . When we finally chased down someone to pay the bill and repeated our disappointment the response was again that the food was eaten . YES IT WAS BUT IT WASN'T WHAT WE THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING. Service and response to issue was therefore not of a good standard , menu description misleading , food quality mediocre . There was a wedding going on . Hope they got a better experience .

We have stopped at this hotel 2 weekends in a row as visiting family who was staying not so far away. At first was a little skeptical but we have found the hotel we will be returning to next time we visit. The rooms are clean and modern and has everything you could need. In the bathroom our only thing to note is that the shelf under the mirror is very close to the sink so have to try and not hit your head when brushing teeth/ washing face etc. there was one inconvenience which was the reception wasn’t manned so you had to go downstairs to the bar and get someone to come upstairs and check you in and again there was no one on check out. We did arrive at the hotel around 7pm so not sure if this was the norm but the staff member was lovely and was helpful.

Faulty towers Terrible check in , clueless front of desk staff Unprofessional ask for deposit for room in case we smash it up apparently and it was said in those exact words. This was after taking ages to check us in because they said we hadn’t paid for room already. A colleague came and this was cleared up

My family came up from the south and south Yorkshire for a family reunion, on what was the worst day 7th December the weather was awful they tried to phone the vine yo say they were here in Chapel but would be checking in late as I'd prepared a family meal, but the phone was off the hook,at 8.30 they went down to the vine to find it in darkness no bar open nothing final a girl came to the door and told them it was a good job they came when they did as she was going home.Although the rooms were clean this is not the way to run a business they couldn't get a drink from the bar or any food should they have wanted any I would not recommend them to anyone.

When we arrived we tried to check in but there was no signs to check in. The room was clean BUT the toilet was leaking with water, the shower is too powerful as the water goes onto the floor. The shower doors don't fully shut the sink had a shelf above it but hard to burst teeth and easy to bang your head. The car park was nice and specious but it was pay and display, but if you're thinking of staying you don't have to pay for parking. The advert for the hotel stated that it was free wifi but there wasnt any avaliable. If you want a good night sleep well good luck because the bed was rock hard and if you do happen to like the bed you'll be woken up due to people slamming doors at night or you'll hear the pub down stairs raving. Then if you want a cold drink of pop at night well good luck because there isn't a fridge. And no staff around but it was okay and this hotel isn't for us.
