I was celebrating my brother and his wife’s 10 year anniversary with friends and family. I spent 100 dollars at the restaurant and 100 dollars for a room only to be completely disrespected and embarrassed by the bartender and manager of the bar. My family and I were enjoying our night drinking with no plans of driving since we were all staying at the hotel. I had a couple drinks with dinner which was at 6 pm and then had 5 drinks at the bar in a period of 6 hours. My sister ordered shots which I wasn’t even going to partake in when the bartender told her I was cut off. I was still sipping on a beer that was half full with no intentions to order another one but that wasn’t the point. I asked the bartender why I was cut off because I was curious and embarrassed at this point. She told me it was because I was slurring my words. This was the first time I had even spoken to her so I had no idea what she was talking about. I thought maybe she had me confused with someone else but she just continued to tell me I was cut off which has never happened to me so like I said I was embarrassed. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came at me completely unwilling to even hear me out and threatened to call the police on me. I’m just sticking up for myself at this point, I didn’t even want another drink! I told the manager to look at my bill so I could prove to her that I’ve only had 5 beers in a 6 hour period. She did print it out and it showed what I was trying to tell her but she was still rude and dismissive. I told her she had no backbone as a manager and walked back to my hotel room. My family and friends were still outside the bar so I was talking to them from my hotel room (that’s how close my room was) and then the police showed up. Not one police officer, but 9! They questioned my family and friends and then I decided to go down very calmly and talk to them about what happened. They told me the manager of the bar called them and told them a lady was cut off for passing out at the bar and then waking up demanding service in a threatening way. So, add filing a false police report to the story also. After talking to the police officer about what really happened, they left. They also encouraged me to call the manager of the hotel the next day to complain about how I was treated. I feel like if I was so drunk, to the point of being cut off, a police officer wouldn’t have believed my side of the story. I called to talk to the manager this morning and was told by the gm of the hotel that I would have to call back this afternoon. He was also rude. I have not called, I decided to do this instead. I will never spend money at this place ever again. Not to mention the 10 people that were with me won’t either. The dinner wasn’t great anyway so it’s not a huge loss. The drinks, food, and room were all overpriced. The door to my hotel room was stuck to the point we had to have help from the hotel staff to get it open. My sister’s hotel room door was the same
