Tranquil. Great views. Relaxing. A heavenly piece of the country with views you won't believe until you drive onto the property. 10 minutes from Downtown Charlottesville and Trump Winery. Neighbor's to the Clifton Inn. Want to visit Carter's Mountain to view the fall foliage or pick apples? That will take you 5 minutes as will Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. It's just minutes away from many of your favorite things that Charlottesville has to offer but in a very private, peaceful setting. We like to call it our "hidden gem." This studio apartment sits on a 5-acre parcel that once was included in the adjacent 64-acre farm. This barn studio sits about 100 yards from our main house and houses our newest “sister” studio as well, the Milton View, by way of a new addition that sits on the other side. It's a great place to enjoy a summer sunset from your own balcony, or just hang out and breathe the fresh country air after a long day of visiting local wineries. This loft studio consists of a king bed that has a nice foam topper. Enjoy a nice hot shower in the walk-in tiled shower. There also is a kitchen complete with coffee maker, stove, refrigerator/freezer. I love to decorate so I’m particularly grateful to do so in this barn studio. I want my guests to feel like they are in a home not in a hotel room. I carefully hand pick and oftentimes paint my own furniture finds. The balcony is a great place for morning coffee (I grind my local favorite Greenberry’s coffee beans for guests to enjoy prior to each arrival) breathing in the fresh air and taking in the Mountain View’s. We have a fire pit (wood, kindling, blankets and lighter provided) and a pool up near our main house for our guests to enjoy. (Please let us know if you’d like to use the pool after 6:30 pm as we like to swim laps around that time so we can adjyst.) There is another guesthouse on the property and all guests have access to the pool. Pool is seasonal. Also, Liability Waiver:You understand that swimming in the pool is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming. You accept full responsibility for any bodily harm arising from swimming and hold the owner harmless. You understand the risk discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming, In booking this vrbo all guests agree to thus Liability Waiver. I like to give my guests as much privacy as possible during their stay. This is our newest and second vrbo on our property. This barn studio, the Milton View, sits on a 5-acre parcel that once was included in the adjacent 64-acre farm. It is located about 100 yards from our main house and also houses our other vrbo, the Hidden Gem, which is located on the other side. It's a great place to enjoy a peaceful morning sunrise with a cup of coffee on your private covered porch or a glass of wine in the evenings watching the sun go down. Although you will feel like you are in the country, we are only a short 15 minute drive to city center. We are two minutes from the renowned Clifton Inn, a popular wedding destination and 5-star restaurant. Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is a 7 minute drive and wineries are all around the area. The Milton View boasts a custom tiled walk in shower, king size bed and polished concrete floors. I pride myself on providing a clean, comfy space. I grind my own favorite local coffee been from Greenberry’s prior to each arrival for my guests to enjoy. In season, enjoy our own private swimming pool while taking in the mountainous view. All guests have access to use the pool. Please let us know if you will be using the pool past 6:30 pm as we like to swim laps then and can adjust. Pool is seasonal. Also, Liability Waiver:You understand that swimming in the pool is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming. This Barn boasts two studios that would be perfect when traveling with friends or two couple because each offers its own private entrance and sleeping quarters. They are in the same building, our “barn,”, share the same GREAT views and outdoor private pool overlooking the view of the mountains, but are completely separate entities. They do not connect. You can find them in this site to rent separately or here, together for a nice, peaceful weekend with friends. The Hidden Gem has its own private balcony for coffee in the morning and watching the sunrise and The Milton View has its own covered porch that boasts a view of the gorgeous sunrise, with a cup of Java, or the stellar sunsets with a glass of wine. Truly relaxing. They both have their own private fire pit (logs, kindling, lighter provided) or you can gather together and enjoy. Our private pool is located by our main house and we love our guests to enjoy (we just ask that you please request to use if doing so after 6 p.m.)Hidden Gem has its own full kitchen and the Milton View has a kitchenette, complete with a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Our Milton View barn studio is our newest and second rental. I take pride in cleanliness, decorating and trying to give my guests as much privacy as possible during their stay. Our house is on the property about 100 yards from barn studios. You won’t forget your time in the Loveshack! This charming tiny house is located only 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, while keeping a farm stay feel. Great
YYongbudiaolingdelanlianhuaHotel location is good, parking is convenient, there are large supermarkets and Mexican restaurants around. The room type is ideal, very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, especially suitable for family vacations. The wireless network is very good and the breakfast is delicious.
KKSBeautiful hotel! Front desk very friendly, especially Latasha! My request for a quiet room was granted. The 6th floor in low numbers is good. I stayed 3 nights for work and my room was SPOTLESS! The mattress was firm, my pillows fluffy. I especially loved the slippers because I forgot mine. Upon arrival Franklin helped me with my luggage and on a rainy day my umbrella was in my car. He kindly gave me one. The only drawback was the Valet parking. They're very good at what they do but I wish there was maybe off-site parking. $18 is a bit steep, I walked to work so I paid for my car to be parked. The morning coffee in the lobby was very good. I didn't get a chance to eat at restaurant Ridley but the aroma sure smelled good. I would definitely stay here again. The lobby's decor and seating was very comfortable.
GGuest UserThe room is large and clean. The facilities are of good quality. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast is of normal quality, standard American breakfast. The location is OK. Although it is not in a busy area, it takes about 7 minutes to walk to the main street, 10 minutes to the downtown pedestrian street, and about 25 minutes to walk to the university. Parking is free and convenient. There is a dripping sound from the ceiling of the room. I don't know if it is because of melting snow.
GGuest UserThe room is actually so-so. The old man at the front desk was very cute. There was a problem with the system that day and the room card could not be opened. He tried for a long time, ran up and down tired and sweated, and finally changed the room for us. very enthusiastic.
FFEIDIEThe hotel is a little far from the school, there is bus, breakfast is normal, there is free parking, new hotel, very clean, 35 squares, three people live well, bigger and better, can cook, the total rest is more satisfactory.
NNANBreakfast is medium to normal, just average. There are very few, coffee buffets can take a big cup and go well. The fireplace area on the first floor looked very warm. There is a Chinese supermarket across the road from the hotel, where you can buy fruit and instant noodles. Hotel parking is free. Just on the main road, the traffic is convenient.
GGuest UserAn amazing stay at a premier hotel! The service was flawless the check in was fast and easy! The room was beautiful, spacious, well designed, and the cleanliness and details on amenities throughout the room were impressive! We will definitely stay again! It will be 2 stays in one month for us. Back in Charlottesville area on the 25th and they are our go to property!
AAnonymous UserVery nice room. 4 normal pillows on beds, seems to be harder to find places that offer a decent/normal pillow. The room was fairly clean, a rag was left behind by the cleaner who must have forgotten to check prior to leaving.
JJIANXINExcellent location, not too far from the Sinatra National Park. The restaurant service is very good and the food is very refined and delicious. Next to the hotel is Walmart. The room is large but the sound insulation is not good. On the second night, the waiter did not give the bath towel that was used the day before.
