RIHGA Royal Resort Okinawa Chatan

An absolutely amazing new hotel! The location is fantastic. Even without a car, you can take the airport bus, and in about 50 minutes, you'll reach American Village. From the bus stop, it's just a 5-minute walk. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with Aeon Mall, famous sushi restaurants, ramen shops, 100-yen stores, Starbucks, and Okinawan cuisine all nearby. The hotel's location is also beautiful and easily visible. I've stayed in hotels in Naha city before and really liked them, but this new opening in American Village has completely won us over. The rooms are incredibly spacious and grand, featuring a washer/dryer combo, a kitchen, a large refrigerator, a microwave, plus a big living room and a balcony. The front desk staff and cleaning crew are all very friendly and professional. If you're planning to visit the central part of Okinawa, you absolutely must come here to experience this unique apartment-style hotel. Spread your luggage out however you like; the space is so free and comfortable. A must-stay!!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Our itinerary primarily focused on the northern part of Okinawa: Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Genki Village, Busena Marine Park, Nago Pineapple Park, Nago Castle Ruins, and Cape Manza. So, we planned to stay here for 4 nights and then move back to Naha for the last night. It turned out to be the perfect choice! The location in American Village is ideal. The surrounding commercial streets are bustling, making it super convenient for dining and finding food. My mom was worried about humidity staying by the sea, but it wasn't an issue here, and the commercial amenities are excellent. You can watch fireworks at night, creating a wonderful ambiance. Life around here is very convenient. There's a small Aeon mall within a 5-minute walk where you can buy daily necessities like milk for children. There's also a gashapon store downstairs, and the kids loved playing there every time. There are tons of delicious restaurants nearby: the famous Gurume Kaiten Sushi Market, Shiki Teppanyaki, Kairikiya Ramen, and Red Lobster. The hotel just opened this year, so everything is brand new. The hygiene and service are spot on, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children, with the older child being 6 years old. We booked a room for 5 people, which was a spacious 80+ square meters, featuring 4 beds, plus an extra bed in the living room. The space was incredibly generous. The kids could play and watch TV in the living room, and the balcony offered a direct view of American Village's nightscape, with fireworks visible on weekends. The room felt very much like home, equipped with a washing machine with a dryer function, a large sofa, and a small kitchen with an induction cooktop. You can request utensils from the front desk. For cleaning, you can choose between partial cleaning (by hanging a tag) or full-house cleaning. If you opt for full-house cleaning, they replenish drinking water, toiletries, and laundry detergent, which is a very thoughtful touch. We had a very comfortable stay. It's a shame our itinerary was too packed, and we didn't get a chance to experience the hotel's pool and sauna. I have to highlight the buffet breakfast! The taste was exceptional, featuring Okinawan specialties like Goya Champuru (stir-fried bitter melon with pork) and peanut tofu. The dishes rotated slightly each day, practically covering all the local Okinawan delicacies. The beef donburi, tacos, and noodles were also incredibly delicious. I loved combining the beef with sea grapes and placing them on top of the noodles; I ate it for four consecutive days and didn't get tired of it. There were also donuts and yogurt that the children loved. The whole family was very satisfied. Overall, the value for money is excellent. After staying here and then returning to Naha, I felt that the commercial amenities in American Village could almost meet the needs of downtown Naha. Okinawa's only head-turning trendy store, 'Mad Rabbit,' is also here, and my brother was very happy to buy the clothes he liked. It's within a 10-15 minute drive to Parco City and Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom, making shopping super convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for families and large groups!

The location is great, with Aeon Mall and American Village both very close by. Our room was on a high floor, and the night view was amazing. Although the room had a spacious bathroom, it was also great to have a large public bath with a sauna. The amenities were excellent, including a drum-style washing machine. The front desk staff were also very kind and courteous. Our family of four stayed here, and our only regret is that we only booked one night.

The front desk staff were very professional and spoke excellent English. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with amenities. The location is perfect, only a 5-minute walk to the heart of American Village's shopping district. They have a large public bath and an infinity pool, great for relaxing and unwinding. Parking is in a mechanical tower system.

The room was spotless and incredibly well-equipped, with everything from a washing machine to a kitchen – it was perfect! We were traveling with a small child, so being able to wash baby bottles, quickly clean sweaty clothes, and heat baby food in the microwave was absolutely ideal. We're also very grateful to the hotel for the complimentary room upgrade for my husband's birthday. The only minor downside was that the front desk staff member spoke a bit softly and was hard to hear. They seemed new, but they tried their best to assist us. For a large hotel like Rihga Royal, I thought perhaps a bit more training might be beneficial. Nevertheless, thank you for everything!

I stayed for one night and was lucky enough to get a suite upgrade at check-in! The room was clean, spacious, and the amenities were plentiful – especially the pajamas, which were excellent. The photo shows the sunset from the balcony, which was also amazing.

The hotel's hot spring, washer/dryer, cleanliness, and friendly staff were all perfect. My only minor complaint is that there was one instance where housekeeping didn't come even after we requested it. It was also great that the pool wasn't crowded because everyone else went to the beach.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The location is excellent, and I could even watch the fireworks from my room at night, which was a real treat! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. If I had to pick one downside, it would be the breakfast buffet, which had limited choices and an average taste. However, overall, I was very pleased.

The room was spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The balcony offered a direct view of American Village and the ocean, which would have been even more stunning if the weather had been better. My only complaint is the long wait for car retrieval from the hotel parking. I might consider self-parking next time.
