Lunch with a friend. Poor menu. The staff didn’t have a clue on how to manage tables and provide customer service. Low ceilings so very noisy , hard to hear each other speak. Food was just okay. 12.5% discretionary Service charge added _ not paid !

Beautifully presented pub inside and out with ample parking. Driven past many times ans thought we’d try it. I had the courgette and goats cheese pizza and without doubt it was the best pizza I’ve had; such a light base with just the right amount of flavourful topping. It was divine ! I had affogato which again quality of both coffee and ice cream was excellent (Cotswold cream). I was driving so it was nice to see some 0% drinks; I had the very good Pentire and tonic. Service was friendly; we had lovely service from Emily. Can’t wait to return.

We have drove past this establishment lots of time on our travels ,always say we must try there, today we did and we were not disappointed. Very warm welcome on arrival, taking to a table offered drink and given time to perusal the menu, not a massive menu but options for all tastes We enjoyed a very well presented and tasty hand made pizzas with some Italian potato as we were hungry service from the staff we encountered was excellent and food and drinks very reasonably priced Very nice ground and very nice country pub type interior. We will be stopping again on our travels

This was our first time to this area of the Cotswolds. We really fancied pizza, so searched on tiktok the best pizza in the Cotswolds. We rang the stump and managed to book a table for half an hour later. The pizza was absolutely amazing! We also had the dough balls, which were to die for. Tiramisu also amazing. We definitely ate far too much, but we just had to order a tiramisu! Service was also great and the ambience of the place was lovely. Would highly highly recommend if you are in the area!

We visited for a special Mother’s Day meal, but unfortunately, the food was not up to an acceptable standard. The lamb was extremely fatty, and both the potatoes and vegetables were barely cooked. Our waitress did check in on us during the meal, but as it was a gift from my children, I didn’t feel comfortable raising the issue at the time. When I did eventually mention it, the only response passed on from the kitchen was a simple “sorry” – no effort to rectify the situation or offer anything further. I later submitted a written complaint, only to be told that I should have said something during the meal. I replied to explain the circumstances, but never received a follow-up or any form of acknowledgment after that. Very disappointed by both the meal and the lack of customer care. I had hoped for a more thoughtful experience, especially on such a meaningful occasion.

The Stump is one of our favourite regular haunts. We've been there and to Baz & Fred's other place near by maybe 30 times. But oh dear. Maybe it Saturdays but short staffing issues and general lack of attention to detail are taking their toll. The staff are fantastic but the food has taken a turn for the worse. The usually excellent beef Ragu with pasta arrived good and messy, the rocket salad had seen better days and the, again usually, perfect tender stem broccoli looked like it had died in a tsunami and been dig up. It was over cooked and presented like a compost heap. Please still go as it's a great place and I am banking of this shambolic experience being a one off but here's the word of warning to Baz & Fred. Get over there and take control. You cannot afford this kind of slip in standards. Please don't get complacent.
