Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu

I stayed at the Shangri-La Chengdu for a few days with my family during my visit back home. To be honest, the hotel's interior is a bit dated, and the facilities can't quite compare to hotels like the Ritz-Carlton, but it's definitely worth the price. If you ask me, if I were to visit Chengdu again and had the same budget, I'd still choose this place. The main reason is the truly excellent service. Especially the young ladies at the front desk – I particularly want to thank Caroline. I had a ton of questions, and she never showed any impatience, remaining patient and enthusiastic throughout. Also, a big shout-out to the cleaning lady on the 9th floor. My 5-year-old niece made a mess in the room every day, and she would always say so warmly, 'No problem at all, little one, it's my job!' Every time we saw her leaving the room, she'd greet us with a smile; she was incredibly kind. So, even though the room is a bit old, staying here is truly comfortable. Basically, what it comes down to is that what the hardware lacks, the human touch makes up for. This kind of genuine service is what makes you want to come back again.

This stay was fantastic! The hotel's ambiance is elegant, and the room was spacious and bright, with excellent hygiene and well-maintained facilities. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, always ready to help, which made me feel very cared for. The surrounding area has great amenities, making it convenient for getting around and dining. It offers excellent value for money, and I highly recommend it!

Shangri-La's service and facilities were, as always, excellent. The executive lounge offered fresh and delicious food, which was a delightful surprise during my trip to Chengdu. A special shout-out to Linda Lu at the executive lounge – she was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. When I accidentally spilled my drink, she was quick to help, and I'm truly grateful for her assistance. I definitely plan on staying here again on my next trip.

The Shangri-La Chengdu Taikoo Li is absolutely amazing! It's right in the heart of Taikoo Li, and you can walk to Chunxi Road, making transportation super convenient. Upon check-in, the bellhop proactively helped with our luggage, and the front desk processed everything efficiently. The breakfast selection was extensive, with authentic Sichuan dishes like Dandan noodles and Zhong dumplings. The restaurant staff were warm and attentive, always serving with a smile. From the lobby to the guest rooms, every detail showed great care. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu! Especially Ms. Sandy, she thoughtfully introduced local delicacies and popular photo spots, and even gave us a small gift when we checked out. Her service was incredibly thoughtful!

The room was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding felt luxurious. Even the toiletries were high-quality. It really lives up to its reputation as an old-school five-star hotel. The location is excellent. Xiao Qiu at the front desk was very helpful with check-in, even upgrading our room and including breakfast. It was a truly satisfying stay, and being there during the Sugar and Wine Fair made it even more lively. The only minor downside was that the slippers should really be closed-toe; my toes kept slipping out.

Shangri-La truly lives up to its reputation as a major national hotel chain. From the moment you step into the lobby, that distinctive scent immediately tells you it's top-notch. Both the facilities and service are excellent, and its convenient location for transport and shopping makes it highly recommendable.
