Grand Hyatt Chengdu (Chunxi Road Taikoo Li)

The hotpot at Chinese Restaurant No. 8 is delicious and highly recommended! Plus, there's a 15% discount coupon for lunch/dinner. Even though it's an older hotel, the room decor and overall experience felt much better than some newer hotels. The staff were also very professional and efficient.

The hotel's location is super convenient. We requested an extra bed, and the staff suggested we top up a bit to upgrade our room, which we did. The room type was perfect, very spacious! We also enjoyed the executive lounge. The hotpot at Restaurant No. 8 inside the hotel had really fresh ingredients and wasn't too spicy. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'd definitely come back again.

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see the IFS pandas directly from the room, and it's super convenient for strolling around Chunxi Road. The service was fantastic, with a warm welcome, and they were very quick to address any issues. They even gave us a panda plushie when we checked out. The room facilities and decor feel a bit dated, and the room itself is on the smaller side, using a lot of mirrors to create a sense of space. However, the bathtub was quite impressive.

The Grand Hyatt Chengdu, located in the bustling heart of Chunxi Road, manages to be a tranquil haven amidst the urban buzz. Its overall design is sophisticated and grand, with wooden elements and lighting perfectly complementing each other. While there are indeed many mirrors, you get used to them after a short stay. Having followed Ji's design and aesthetic from the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou to the Grand Hyatt Chengdu, I can confidently say his vision remains as impressive as ever. The guest room layout is fluid, with clearly defined and practical divisions for the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, providing abundant natural light during the day and a spectacular panoramic view of the city's vibrant nightscape. The soundproofing and blackout curtains are also excellent. Although the hotel has been open for several years and shows slight signs of age, it is well-maintained, and the service is both professional and efficient. (On a side note, the Hyatt promotion in April was an absolute delight!!!) This time, I also experienced the complimentary 'New Wave Travel Photography' service offered by the hotel. The staff was incredibly efficient, and the depth of field and composition of the shots perfectly matched my preferences. The final photos exceeded my expectations, making for an overall superb experience.

Everything was excellent, and the service was top-notch. We stayed for three days, and our suite was spacious and very comfortable. The room was large and kept spotlessly clean every day. Extremely satisfied!

The room was very clean and the location was excellent. It still had the signature Tony Chi style, with wide floor-to-ceiling windows and many mirrors that created a strong sense of spaciousness. The use of space was fantastic, and the pool was beautiful. A special thanks to Vivian at the front desk for the gift!

The location is superb, right across from IFS with the panda butt view, which is fantastic. The public facilities, ambiance, and attention to detail are excellent. I tried the pool and gym, both were great, and there's a hot tub. The breakfast was quite varied, and the freshly baked croissants were delicious 😋. The only downside is that the room's decor and amenities feel a bit dated; the Bose speaker connection didn't work, and the TV wasn't smart. Despite that, it was clean and overall very good. I'd definitely come back.

Facilities: Although the wooden furniture is a bit old, the overall design is great and the stay was comfortable. Hygiene: Excellent. Environment: I personally felt it was better than Marriott. Service: Excellent. Food delivery came right to the door and was prompt. Plus, cleaning and housekeeping were done exactly as requested by the guest. Very good.

The hotel service was excellent, and the rooms were new and modern. The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk from Chunxi Road. I will definitely choose Grand Hyatt again next time I visit Chengdu!
