Rezen Dong Hotels in Chengdu

This is a great hotel, right next to the Chengdu Museum. You can easily find it by exiting through the underground shopping street from Exit C of Tianfu Square Metro Station – it's right there as soon as you look up. Downstairs, there are plenty of restaurants, fruit stands, and snack stalls. The room was very spacious, and the walls and windows seemed incredibly soundproof; I didn't hear a peep for the several days I stayed. The hygiene was excellent too. The mattress was soft yet supportive, which was wonderfully comfortable after a long day. My only minor critique is that the pillows were a bit too soft; if there's ever a renovation planned, please consider upgrading the pillows! The shower had a rain showerhead, and the hot water pressure was fantastic. The disposable slippers and toothbrushes were also of good quality. All the staff were very polite, always smiling and greeting me whenever we met – it felt very welcoming. The hotel's elevators are a bit old, but that seems to be a building-wide issue. The breakfast was plentiful, with both Chinese and Western options, and even a live cooking station. While the dishes weren't overly extravagant, they were all very tasty, and they even had the local specialty, Sichuan Northern Youcha (oil tea). There were always four types of fruit every day, plus free yogurt, which was a real treat. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. I remember the detergent and fabric softener were well-known brands like Super Power and Jin纺. It can get busy in the afternoon and evening, so you might have to wait.

Our stay at the Lichengdonggu Hotel Jinli Wuhou Temple branch in Chengdu was fantastic. The location is a huge plus, as we could walk to Jinli Ancient Street and Wuhou Temple. After exploring at night, we didn't need a taxi; we could just stroll back to the hotel. The hotel features a new Chinese-style decor, with an elegant lobby and very clean rooms. The zero-pressure bedding provided excellent sleep quality, and there was plenty of hot water. The room even came with a foot bath and mugwort packets, which were incredibly soothing after a long day of walking. The breakfast buffet offered a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, including local specialties like Dandan noodles and spicy wontons, all of which tasted great. The staff were attentive, check-in was fast, and they even offered helpful sightseeing tips. The hotel also has a self-service laundry and drying room, a gym, and free parking for those driving. It's perfect for both couples and families, highly recommended!

Facilities is quite good, however the location is far from city. Staff are quite friendly but they do not know how to speak English. Their services may be improved to par if they can communicate with guests in English.
