YHA London Lee Valley

We was arrived late. The room was notice and not the clean . The bath room was water licking .  Will not recommend this accommodation

The room was a bit chilly, but it was OK. There is a nice park next to the hostel. Good place to stay

Good price at £37. Would never pay full price to stay there. Food. Not much choice in the evening only pizza. Was over cooked, will not eat there again. Did eat it, us cyclists eat most things. Did have a cake for free with my coffee which was very nice, the best thing that I eat at the hostel. Lack of food choices in afternoon and evening, best to go to town for food. Had the continental breakfast which was basic, 4 ceral choices, would like to have bananas, basic fruit choice. Did have crosant which was dry. Staff are nice my cycle 🚲 locked and dry. Rooms ok for £37,not when the price goes up. When you are a solo traveller it costs to much to stay at full price, cheaper at the travel lodge. Please when the rooms are ready please let people use them and not wait to 3pm for check-in, cycled 4 hours plus in heavy rain and needed shower and dry clothes. Will stay again only when the price is no more than £50. One thing I noticed staff only replied to positive feedback, so we see.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are using volunteers to work here and carry out food prep with no training. They had a close miss with a child with a food allergy. They tell volunteers they are secret and have to stay hidden and basiclsly treat them like dirt., they certainly don’t value them of provide a positive experience. The management are nothing short of bullies in my view. They even told volunteers they had to share beds. So if you are looking to volunteer avoid at all costs. If you are looking to take groups of kids or stay be warned their attention to safety and food hygiene is seriously lacking.

We stayed at this hostel as a family, spending nearly £400 for a few nights, including rooms and breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply affected by the behaviour of the hostel manager, who was incredibly rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming from the start. Some of our children live with mental health challenges, and at times this can result in them being a bit loud or needing extra support. Rather than showing any understanding or basic human decency, the manager stared at us in front of everyone, made inappropriate comments, and even counted our children out loud as if they were luggage. Her facial expressions were openly judgmental and made us feel deeply uncomfortable and discriminated against. This treatment was entirely unnecessary and ruined what should have been a positive time for our family. A little kindness or a polite conversation could have gone a long way. Thankfully, the rest of the staff were friendly and professional a stark contrast to the manager's unpleasant attitude. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and I would not recommend this hostel to anyone expecting respect and inclusion.

Well this was a surprise. Booked a bunk bed room in a lodge as I was going alone to Wembley. YHA well placed right next to cheshunt station, free parking for people who stay, warm room, hot water, lovely reception staff where you can get drinks and chill. Had a breakfast too. The only issue I had was having to wait at the level crossing - it was having a bad day
