Disneyland
Disappointing on almost every level - the lobby is beautiful and so are the rooms and the valet team seemed to be the only ones that had it together . There are a lot of kinks to be worked out here and I hate that they were learning as they go on my $1200 a night. This is a five star Disney hotel in my eyes , the top tier hotel in the Disney hotel offerings but not a five star hotel outside of that. We only stayed one night as we were already staying at the nearby Marriott Village . We arrived very early to take advantage of the extra magic hour totally understanding our room would not be ready until after 3pm. You have an option to pre register prior to arriving and they would text you with your room number if it was ready before 3 but we were told if we didn’t get a text we would have to wait in line if we came back at 3 to know our room number and we were told “come way after 3 because of long lines “ we never received a text and headed back to the hotel around 430 we were given our room number right away without any lines and were told our luggage would be right up however our luggage took almost an hour and a half and numerous phone calls and actually having to go to the lobby to find out where our luggage was when I had asked does the luggage typically take an hour so I can reset my expectation I was very rudely told no it does not take an hour for luggage! I’m checking my emails while waiting for my luggage I realize that I received an email that my room was ready at 11 AM so not sure why they wouldn’t have just taken the luggage up at that point since there seems to be a bottleneck after three in the luggage department. My mini bar situation was the same as others have reviewed here one bottle of peach soda one bottle of sparkling water one bottle of Stillwater I wouldn’t really put that as a benefit that there is an open mini bar for you to utilize with such a small offering. We did go to the bar and have a drink service there was fine when the bill came we asked to charge it to our room and were asked for our pin number Apparently when I gave my credit card for incidentals upon checking in I should’ve been also given a pin number to utilize room charges while I was there I had no idea what he was talking about and had to go run and get our credit card to pay the bill. Next La Table de Lumière - our waiter asked us if we spoke Spanish (not French ,Spanish) we said we speak mainly English and he said oh I don’t speak English very well but I’ll try my best. He went to serve our appetizers and put them back because he was told he didn’t give us bread yet again I felt like everyone was in training. My husband had the beef as his main and it was raw and inedible but no one ever came back to check so he ate everything but the meat and the waiter said everything good right ? well probably not if it’s not eaten his only comment was I let the chef know. Dessert was delivered and while my husband and I each got something different wha

I was travelling single parent with 15,12,9 yr olds. The reception team are extremely friendly and welcoming and highly efficient. We were upgraded to another bed for free which is great because it meant my older two boys didn’t have to share a double. The bedroom had a double with sliding doors so at night my youngest and I could get to sleep a bit earlier than the boys. We could also still reach the shower room and toilet through our door and they could reach it through their door. The shower room had a bath with shower and a separate shower, very modern and worked well. Toiletries included and a good mirror. Towels were plentiful absolutely brilliant the amount of towels they gave soft and fluffy they also replaced these regularly without having to ask. The kitchen area was good we bought breakfast and snacks from the big supermarket inside the shopping mall (a few mins walk away) and had cereal and bread and yogurt in the mornings, it had a freezer section for ice lollies which was great in the heat. The location is perfect for Disneyland on a budget, you are 5 seconds walk from the entry train station to Disney and it’s one stop away! Coming home you exit the station just next to the shopping mall only another few mins walk. You use the ticket machine at train station keep your tickets for exit barriers. For x4 over 10 and x1 under 10 child ticket it was about 10 euros or less to get one way to Disneyland allow this in your budget as you will need this x2 a day for however long you stay. Can’t remember the prices for the train from the airport but at a guess again for x4 over ten and x1 under ten possibly 100 or so euros each way but done quote me. You get the train from the airport to chatelet les halles then swap to the local train to val deurope stop. On the way there we payed at the separate train stations but on the way back we purchased from the man in train ticket office and the ticket was valid for the whole journey including the switch at the station. Trains back from the parks well into 11.30pm didn’t try later but I’m assuming so as a lot of people are still Shopping at that time. The best part was my mum joined on to the holiday last minute and stayed at the ibis which is directly opposite this hotel (so is the ibis budget) we could even wave to her from our window (have included pic !) She then came over in the mornings for breakfast etc so another option if you can’t get enough rooms in this hotel book into the ibis. My mum said her room was clean and comfortable and very spacious too. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for staff friendliness, value for money and the best part location for Disney and the shopping mall and train stations. We will definitely return. Shout out to the maids who did a fantastic job daily thank you.
