Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Chester, VA

The plus sides are parking is excellent and free WiFi with stay. There are working coffee maker and refrigerator. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable and we would not have stayed more than one night based on that alone. The staffing is sparse-waited at check in for more than 10 minutes for someone to come and no one answered the phone. Housekeeping was cleaning the room across the hall at 10 pm which was a bit late for us when we had to get up early.

Rooms were super clean as was the lobby and elevator. Staff was very friendly. Had a king size bed. The room still had a bunch of room with the king bed there. Hot water in the shower was awesome. They did serve breakfast be I did eat any as I wanted to sleep late. No problems with parking.

We made a reservation to stay at this hotel for one week and we checked out after one night because the cleanliness of the entire hotel (but especially the rooms) was horrible. Imagine staying at a hotel where you could let nothing touch the walls for a week because the actual walls were super gross. The one upside is that the staff was very understanding and helped us get a refund on our hotel room so we could go to another location. However, the owners of this hotel needs to work on updating broken furniture, repairing things in rooms that are (because there were a lot of things that were broken including carpet, coming up on the floor), and cleaning the actual rooms better, such as wiping down the walls and cleaning sticky carpet.

The hotel was very clean, but showed its age. Staff were kind and courteous. The pool and hot tub were clean. But both were FREEZING, as a result we couldn't utilize either while we were there, which is unfortunate because that is the main reason we picked this hotel. The breakfast was simple, but good! Cereals, hot foot options, waffles, the normal breakfast buffet. It's a clean quiet place to lay your head with a lot of quick food options nearby if you are traveling through.

Pros: Friendly staff Proximity to restaurants and entertainment Clean room/bathroom everyday Quiet hotel Cons: Renovation Needed Dated furniture Microwave needs replacing Upgrades to the room (more channels, ability to access streaming services) would be ideal

The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom, such as the floor of the shower which looked dirty, and we put a towel down to stand on. Lots of repairs needed, like the towel bar in the bathroom, the vanity mirror was crooked, etc. Missed breakfast the first day because it didn't start until 7, and had to leave by 6:30 am. It was fine for just needing a place to stay, but overall didn't feel clean or updated.

Clean the rooms better the first one they put is in was damaged and had a weird smell and ant problem but then they put us in another room that was great smelled better and clean

Ice machine didn’t work. Shower head had very weak stream. Bed was comfortable tho

Hotel could use some updating. Paint chipped, furniture was chipped also, bathtub was stained and worn. Not appealing. Breakfast was fantastic and the pool and hot tub we loved. Front desk clerk was not welcoming and no one was at the breakfast to help with more plasticware.
