Peak Nimman’s “Golden Roof” is a landmark structure located at the Nimmanhaemin Road, proudly presented by Peak Nimman Prestige Hotel. Completed in 2018, the roof and the balcony was decorated with more than 10,000 fire-gilded Gold tiles. Guests are invited to use the balcony to observe festivals and nightlife on the Nimmanhaemin Road. Gold is a rare precious metal, which ancient Chinese people considered to have healing power. Gold leaf is gold that has been hammered into thin sheets by goldbeating and is often used for gilding. Gold leaf is also used in Buddhist art to decorate Buddha statues, temples, and architecture. Gold leafing can also be seen on domes in religious and public architecture. The purer the gold is, the shiner and light-reflective it will be more than synthetic gold. The hotel owner believes that gold represents inner wealth and light. By using gold-gilded roof, the roof will absorb both moonlight and sunlight and bring happiness, prosperity, luck, success, and good health to our visitors.
