SUNRISE by Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai

Sunrise Morning Light Hotel boasts a prime location, just a minute away from the Chiang Mai Marriott and 3-5 minutes from the former Teresa Teng's favorite Imperial Mae Ping InterContinental. Downstairs, you'll find a 7-Eleven, Starbucks, McDonald's, Watsons, and even a Hard Rock Cafe, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel itself features an elegant Lanna style, and the rooftop shared pool offers expansive views, including Mount Suthep in the distance. All this comes at an affordable price in a bustling golden location. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, and the downstairs lobby, with its super-strong air conditioning, also offers Korean buffet lunch and dinner, as well as delicious coffee for sale. The rooms are clean and spacious. Aside from a minor flaw in the soundproofing, the value for money is absolutely fantastic! 👍

The Doi Suthep view is beautiful, and the hotel is located near Tha Phae Walking Street and restaurants. The hotel is a bit old, but overall it's okay.

The wooden decor feels dated, but the cleanliness is well-maintained. The soundproofing in the room is extremely poor, and I mean *extremely* poor. There's a strong, unpleasant food smell on the ground floor. The soft furnishings also feel very old-fashioned, like the 80s-style vases and ornaments. I really enjoyed the 1.2-meter deep rooftop pool; you can overlook Suthep Mountain, and the view is beautiful. It felt like swimming outdoors like a fish. The surrounding area is well-equipped with a 7-Eleven, McDonald's, Watsons, Big C, Anusarn Night Market, and various specialty cuisines like Turkish and Japanese. The Mae Ping River is about 700 meters to the east. For me, the value for money is excellent. It's the perfect choice for me, and if I had another chance, I would choose it again. I also tidied up the room after check-out.

The accommodation is decent enough, with easy access in and out. The atmosphere is quite nice, and parking is convenient. Most importantly, it's very close to the market and the walking street.

The room rate alone, without breakfast, is considered good. There's a common area available for use. If you're traveling solo, I recommend it; it's convenient and safe.
