The place was relaxing but alot of stuff abit too old need to take care more about the hotel. Apart from that, the rest are all very nice to stay.

We stayed 3 nights at Chaya Resort, and the overall experience was very disappointing. The hotel gives the impression of being abandoned, as if it had seen much better days... a long time ago.
The breakfast was extremely poor: only toast and two fried eggs, with no choice or variety. On our last day, leaving early, we simply couldn't have breakfast, and nothing was offered to us in exchange (no breakfast box, no alternative solution).
The day before, however, we saw another guest with a well-stocked plate. When we asked him how he got it, he explained that he had to fill out a form at the reception. No one ever informed us or asked us about this. Really a shame, and above all, unfair.
The service leaves a lot to be desired: the receptionist didn't speak English, which made communication very difficult. When we asked for cushions for the pool, we were told there weren't any — which is frankly not normal. We did receive towels for the pool, fortunately.
The pool was used, but the water was cloudy and visibly dirty. As for the spa, it's hard to understand how it deserves that name... nothing corresponds to the idea of a spa.
The room looks nice on paper, but it's poorly maintained:
• little hot water,
• a broken and flickering bathroom light,
• the key used to activate the electricity didn't work properly and was broken,
• presence of insects (ants) in the room.
It's a real shame, because the place must have been magnificent in another era. Today, the potential is there, but the maintenance and service clearly don't live up to it. A great disappointment.

Not worth the money. The hotel feels old, and the in-room facilities are outdated, especially the bathroom, which was in poor condition. All I liked was just a cat at the reception, so cute!

Not recommended for families with children over 2 years old. They don't provide an extra bed, but still charge an additional 300 baht. I've never encountered this at any other place; only here. Even if the child shares a bed with a parent (my child is 9 years old).

We stayed there for 8 days! Favorite part was the quick entry/exit to the pool, very convenient. The pool closed at 7pm for a great reason, because water noise is irritating for all residents. There’s no such thing as soundproof, you can hear every everything moving from your room 😝. The hotel brings you another level of experience in terms of traveling … the breakfast early booking system was not the top choice, but the staff was very helpful. We did regret booking with breakfast options because it was a waste of money. Joke aside someday there’s butter Hahah and other days there is no butter (we tried). The room we had was spacious but there was a weird smell of moisture from the wooden furniture. We weren’t able to keep anything in the cabinet because of that smell. The stay is great if you close your eyes on 2-3 things such as the smell, mold in the bathroom, or broken stuff … but we enjoyed this unique experience. Please eat and clean afterwards otherwise you and ants will share the space.

Our room was the best part, good air con, large and clean. But like the rest of the hotel, in need of a lot of maintenance. From when you arrive the front of the hotel and the grounds are very run down, not what you expect for a so-called 4 star hotel. The pool was really dirty looking so unusable.
When we arrived after travelling for over 20 hours, we arrived early in the morning. No effort was made by the staff to get us checked in before 2pm. 7 hours hanging around waiting to check in. As someone who works in hotels in Ireland 🇮🇪 you really would try to get people checked in as quickly as you have a room available. It's called hospitality. We offered to pay to check in early and were told that to do so would cost more than a full nights rate.
Location wise, it's over 3km to the old town, which was our own fault as we did not research enough. I would advise anyone travelling to look at booking in the old town area. As the area of the hotel is also very run down and not much to do.

Room was really nice, big & clean, for those who want peace & quiet, because there are only a few restaurants nearby, a long walk from main attractions, staff are discriminating & only friendly to ‘certain’ races which is a huge deal breaker! Breakfast is mediocre so don’t include when booking

4.5km to/from airport, 9km from/to bus terminal 3.
I’d say it’s not a walk distance to Thaphae Gate but still in good location. Warm hospitality by the old man I met on the reception desk (not sure if he is the owner or the manager). For affordable rate, I got spacious room, spacious outdoor area (for smoking), spacious bathroom with bathtub (all rooms are provided). Clean, peaceful, standard amenities but no dental kit, hairdryer, 2 bathrobe provided, extra pillow and safety box are provided as well.
