喜歡這裡,裝修設施不是最好的,但是清邁味道。服務也很nice。周圍交通,旅遊,吃飯,休閒都很方便。酒店可以有免費停車的地方。

This is a quaint, colonial style hotel that seems to be throwback to the 1950s. It has more character in its little finger than the plush high rise properties have all together. The rooms are clean, well appointed and equipped with a killer air conditioner…which was much appreciated. The hotel “lobby” is an open air cafe serving cold beer and good food. Live music is provided most nights which was perfect after a long day of trekking the sights. I was soooo impressed with the cafe I kept sending pics to friends. The location is in the center of Old Town so sights were always close. Finally the staff, and Tony in particular, was so attentive, friendly and genuine I felt like I was truly welcomed and was an important guest to them. If you’re looking for posh, move on. If you’re looking for unique and genuine, you will be at home. Personally I would stay nowhere else in Chiang Mai.

Stayed here for a week. It’s a beautiful old building with tons of character and right in the heart of Chiang Mai on walking street. Very unique full of old world charm. We had a lovely large room , triple aspect windows so very bright and airy. Large balcony overlooking the temple. We were even serenaded by a peacock every day and that started the dogs off ! All part of the charm though. Comfortable super king bed. Huge flat screen smart TV with Netflix and every other channel you would need. Good powerful Wi-Fi although it did drop off now and again. Good air con. Adequate bathroom with bath and shower attachment. Limited but perfectly acceptable breakfast offering. Very nice freshly made omelette. Coffee machine with nice coffee. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Always greet you with a smile. Draught Chang available- not many places have beer on tap. Sunday street market is just amazing- sit on terrace with a drink and people watch or have a walk around the very large market right outside the Hotel. Amazing street food and it’s very reasonably priced. The live music at hotel on Sunday market night is fantastic. Really professional. All in all it’s a great hotel. Has everything you would need or want. It’s not 5* by any means- but it’s not 5* prices. Would highly recommend- and we would stay again without hesitation when in Chiang Mai.

Awesome hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. In walking distance to several attractions inside Chiang Mai, and in a street with not too much traffic. Two tour companies close to the hotel and several shops renting out motorbikes. Cozy rooms with lots of windows in every direction making the room feel very open and breezy. Had one night with lots of thunder, and had first class view of the lightning show. :) Really friendly staff, and Tony in the reception did an excelent job. Also, the hotel have live music on sunday night, and its a really good band with real talent. Will defiently come back here next time I will go to Chiang Mai.

Beautiful building steeped in history on walking street. The staff are charming and always greet you with a smile on their faces. The rooms are large, ours had a triple aspect with a balcony so lots of light. Super king size bed which was very comfortable. Huge flatscreen television with plenty if channels including Netflix and Amazon prime. Nice little fridge with plenty of water, excellent air-con and a safe. Big bathroom with a bath and shower attachment, hairdryer and the usual toiletries. Breakfast is limited but enough to kick start your day. They also have the best bands on Sundays when the markets on which play on till midnight, and draught beer which is hard to find in the old town. All in all a wonderful stay and we will return next year.

Checking into Villa Duang Champa, Room 7 in the back was still being refurbished, so I was offered Room 10 in the front instead for my complimentary stay. Given that VDC has won an award for its renovation in the past, I’m excited to return next time for that room. With only 10 rooms total, this boutique, family-owned hotel run by the affable and accommodating Khun Lek (Ms. Little) is a cozy place to stay. Conveniently situated on Rajdamnoen, the main East-West artery in the heart of the nearly-perfect 1.6 square kilometer (1 square mile) Old City of Chiang Mai, Thailand. I found these to be apt albeit unintentional metaphors during my enjoyable stay there. From the comfort of Room 10, I enjoyed the view of the top of the ruins of Wat Chedi Luang looking one way – one of the most famous temples in Chiang Mai – and the glory of Doi Suthep – a local mountain – through the western windows. Room 10 has a comfortable bed, a little couch, a useful desk, a cute balcony from which to leisurely overlook the goings on, and a large bathroom including a big, round bathtub soaked in light from the southern and eastern facing windows. Although it is a pleasant, comfortable, family-owned small business, it is not for everyone, as the property shows its wear, some of which is being repaired. But especially if you appreciate wabi-sabi – the Japanese aesthetic philosophy of beauty in imperfection, incompleteness, and impermanence – then this place can suit you, as it did me. Thailand‘s second city, the “Rose of the North“ is absolutely glorious, seamlessly mixing East and West, traditional and modern, religious and secular, nature and culture, serenity and excitement. There is no shortage of wonders here. On Sunday afternoons and evenings, Chiang Mai’s Rajdamnoen becomes the Sunday Walking Street Market with a seemingly-endless array of colors, sounds, smells, textures, and tastes to amaze and delight one’s senses and imagination. And when weary after shopping and gawking and eating in this enchanting experience, what a treat to be able to return to this adjacent little sanctuary. At the hotel itself, the food and drink are simple but satisfying; it’s a place to be satiated, not necessarily wowed. Likewise, the live music they host is also consistently good and fun, even if not mind-blowing. Villa Duang Champa is a down-home place designed for coziness more than excitement and it feels calming and charming being there in the center of the Old City, despite whatever else is going on in this magical city and chaotic world. It was just what I needed.

Placed in excellet location (middle of the old city), the hosts kind and very considerable. The breakfast is a good way to start your day (tea/coffee/eggs/bread/jam/butter/mushroom and more). Big and comfortable rooms. Stayed for 5 nights and definitely will come again!

Heel gezellige plaats!
