Amora Thapae Hotel Chiang Mai

Convenient location, with an elevator, 24-hour front desk staff who were helpful and friendly. This was my first visit to Chiang Mai, and I stayed here for 5 days. I will definitely be back. Recommended for solo travelers and families alike; it's a safe and reliable hotel.

The hotel is a bit old but reasonably well-maintained. The lobby is clean, tidy, and grand. The staff are friendly and polite. Check-in and check-out were seamless. There's a restaurant on the first floor that serves daily meals. The room soundproofing is good, making it quite quiet. There's a balcony with a relatively open view. The pillows were a little too soft for my liking. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. It's about a 7-minute walk from Tha Phae Gate, which is quite convenient for exploring the Old City.

The hotel is a high-rise building right next to the old city, with the moat in front and close to Tha Phae Gate. The interior design features a modern Lanna style. Check-in is available after 2 PM, and check-out is before 12 PM. The hotel lobby is spacious and very impressive, offering welcome drinks and a lounge area. The breakfast menu changes daily and tastes great. I highly recommend the freshly made noodle soup and omelets.

Very good, this is my second stay. The doorman is incredibly warm and friendly. I just hope the front desk service improves a bit. The location is great, the view is good, everything else is excellent! I'll definitely stay again!

The location is incredibly convenient; just across the moat is Tha Phae Gate, and there's a Sunday night market. Not far behind the hotel are the famous Ffparking Durian Sister and Warorot Market. Many internet-famous restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. This hotel doesn't seem to do much marketing in China, as most of its guests are from Europe and North America. The breakfast is purely Western style. The only downside is that it's not a 'picture-perfect' hotel that young women might prefer, and the facilities are a bit dated.

The air conditioning was great. The only downside was the old-fashioned bathtub for showering; it felt very unsafe to stand in. Everything else was pretty good. I've stayed here many times.

The air conditioning was very noisy, so we turned it off at night to sleep. Luckily, it wasn't too hot. We left a note and a tip, asking them to fold it into an elephant, but they took the tip and the note without folding the elephant. Very speechless.
