Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai

Great walkable location. There's a 7-Eleven and a laundry service right across from the hotel, which is really convenient. Night markets and massage shops are just 2-3 minutes away, making them easy to access. You can also walk to Tha Phae Gate, the Old Town, and temples. Plus, there's a Korean restaurant called Geumsujeong on the first floor, perfect for when you're craving Korean food.

Great location right on Chang Klan Road, with a 7-Eleven directly across from the hotel. Very convenient for getting around, and the price was reasonable. The Marriott is diagonally opposite, and the Intercontinental is behind the hotel. To the right are street-side restaurants. It feels like it was probably a mid-to-high-end hotel when it first opened, but over time, it hasn't been well-maintained. The downsides are that the hotel is very old, and you could even see unwashed bloodstains on the sheets. The room lighting was very dim, and the hotel's swimming pool was closed for maintenance during my stay. If you don't mind these issues, then it's fine.

The connecting rooms were actually two separate rooms, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds, connected by a door. This arrangement worked out perfectly, as we didn't disturb each other. The hotel's location is great, just six kilometers from the airport and less than a kilometer from the ancient city. The breakfast selection was also excellent.

There was absolutely nothing in the room. I don't understand why they asked for a 2000 THB deposit. It had both a bathtub and a shower, but the showerhead was broken, and the room was quite dirty. The location was good though; there's a 7-Eleven right across from the lobby, and the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is just a 2-minute walk away.
