My stay this time was quite good. As soon as I entered the lobby, the air felt very pleasant, like there was a subtle, relaxing fragrance. Although the room wasn't particularly large, it was very clean and had excellent ventilation, so there wasn't that typical stuffy hotel smell. The bed was really comfortable, and I woke up feeling refreshed the next morning. Overall, it's a very comfortable place to stay.

Ww3305cOur first night in Taiwan, we took the high-speed rail directly to Chiayi and checked into this InterContinental chain hotel. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and mentioned they'd upgraded us to a triple room. However, there were only two of us, and while we initially thought the room would be more spacious, the sofa bed was already pulled out, making the room's activity space feel smaller instead. The hotel breakfast was quite good, with both Chinese and Western options. It was great to be able to enjoy a steaming hot beef noodle soup first thing in the morning! It's also quite rare these days to book a room on Trip.com and not have to pay in advance, being able to pay directly at the hotel.

YYUCHIThe room was comfortable and simply furnished. While the walls and ceiling showed a bit of age, they certainly didn't look dirty or run-down.
We stayed in a quad room (corner unit) this time, and the layout was quite peculiar. The bathroom was a triangular space, awkwardly fitted with a bathtub and an inward-opening door. It felt incredibly cramped for even one adult and one child to shower. To make matters worse, the door was right next to the showerhead, causing water to constantly spray out through the gaps during a shower. Definitely a poor design!
Overall, my impression was decent, and the cleanliness was average. However, considering the room and the price, it still offers good value for money.
The absolute highlight, in my opinion, is the fantastic location! They also have an affiliated parking lot.
On a side note, there's a Lin Family Fen Yuan (tapioca dessert shop) right next door, to the left of the hotel. It's incredibly chewy and delicious – highly recommended! 😍
The Wenhua Road Night Market is also a pleasant 8-10 minute walk down the alley diagonally opposite the hotel. 👍

Ddisplay_name_We had a great stay at the hotel! The facilities were fantastic, with a fun foosball table, PlayStation, and an awesome breakfast and supper. The gatchapon and board game room were a unique touch that really added to the experience. The room itself was very comfortable, and I especially liked the AI assistant for added convenience.
The only downside was the location—it was a bit far from key attractions. While there was a bus stop nearby, we couldn't catch the bus due to a detour from ongoing construction or something. Despite this, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for a fun, comfortable stay!

CCWYHOThe hotel doesn't have very obvious signage outside as it shares the building with other businesses so we walked past it without noticing just to double back. You need to take the elevator up to the 5th floor for check in. There are free snacks, soft drinks and coffee. All in all, it's a decent place to stay with few frills at a good location near the train station. The room was decent but no fridge. It's close enough to the night market. No complaints. Better if you speak Chinese.

HHKTasterThis hotel's biggest selling point is definitely its location: it's right behind Chiayi Train Station, about a 3–5 minute walk away. For anyone needing to catch an early train or get an early start, it's incredibly convenient – I'd give the location full marks.
There was a slight hiccup on check-in day: the front desk was initially unattended, and we waited about 15 minutes before someone appeared to help us. I hope the hotel can improve this (e.g., by ensuring staff are present or providing clear contact information).
The room's cleanliness was pretty good; the carpet showed no obvious stains, and overall it was comfortable. However, one downside was the lack of a table or surface in the room to put things, especially when bringing back food from the night market. It was a bit tricky figuring out where to put it or how to eat, which detracts from the practicality.
On the other hand, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise: I particularly loved their pork floss, which was genuinely softer and crispier than what you usually find at breakfast buffets – excellent with plain congee. The braised pork rice (luroufan) is also worth mentioning; the braised pork had a good fat-to-lean ratio, making it fragrant and delicious with the rice. However, I do have a suggestion: the tofu pudding/dessert area should ideally have a cover or protection. I noticed mosquitoes flying into it, and the tofu pudding itself had a slightly sour taste, not feeling very fresh. I hope this area can be improved.
In summary: if your priority is convenient transportation and needing to catch trains, this hotel is very suitable. But if you value an in-room desk/dining space, you might need to adjust your expectations.

AAom Krajibnoi• The location of the accommodation is very good, opposite Chiayi TRA, there is a U-Bike rental point.
• The accommodation has a check-in time of 13:00. There is no elevator. Fortunately, I got a room on the 2nd floor. The staff were kind enough to help carry my luggage up and down the stairs. I cannot leave my luggage. Check-out before noon is considered okay.
• The room is a good size. I can open a 29-inch suitcase. There is a hair dryer. The bathtub allows me to turn on the warm water to soak my feet. The shampoo smells great. But there is no air conditioning to adjust the room. It is very hot. Fortunately, there is a small fan to help. The room is not soundproof.
