The breakfast was delicious! 😋 I loved the bathtub 🛁 and the location is great, making it convenient to go anywhere. This is our second time staying here, and the staff's service is wonderful 👍. I'll definitely recommend it to friends! ❤️

While there aren't many basement parking spots, the front desk informed us that we could park in the street parking spaces directly in front of and beside the hotel. When checking out, we could give our parking receipts to the front desk and they would take care of the payment, which was incredibly convenient and considerate for guests. The room was spacious with plenty of room, and my friend and I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel's location is unbeatable, right next to Chiayi's bustling Dongmen Market, offering an abundance of delicious food and historical buildings to explore.

The service was really friendly, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and didn't have any strange odors—it was a pleasant stay. The bed was huge, easily accommodating two adults and a child without feeling crowded. Having a parking lot was a big convenience. It's also a short taxi ride to the Wenhua Night Market, which was fantastic.

This hotel isn't far from the night market, about a 1km walk, which is perfect for a stroll back after a good meal. The room size is quite generous, though the bed is a bit on the softer side. Breakfast options are limited. Overall, it's pretty standard.

Considering this place a 4 star isn't really a match with 4 star average. I got kinda disappointed by the customer service. Early check in and late check out was basically not possible. They wanted to charge me 700 ntd for 1 hour of late check out, is it a joke? At check in (1.30h before regular check in time) the front desk agent asked me if that room was okay for me, since she asked I kindly asked if it would be possible to have a room on a higher floor instead, she mentioned that the housekeeping didn't finish the cleaning on other floors but she added that they have prepared this room in advance for me since it was ready. I agree on getting that room since I was in a rush, after check in formalities have been concluded she tells me that the room isn't ready yet, she asked me to step on the side for a few minutes, then had to wait 42 minutes before she called me again giving me the keys. I was shocked. Definitely won't be going back here.

Chiayi is a quiet town on the edge of alishan mountains, as such there are not many major shops and eateries around. South Urban is a luxurious hotel standing in the middle of the quiet town. The popular food and night market are within 15min walking distance from the hotel (there is u-bike stand just opposite the hotel, but there were no bikes available when we headed out in the evening). The hotel staff were generally friendly, but there are not many amenities available to guests. There were only hair dryer and bedroom slippers available. The hotel did provide two bottles of water, and there is a water dispenser at the lobby if guests need more water. Other tourist attractions within 20-30 minutes walk around are prison, Hiroki village, railway park.

Smooth check in and was given the hotel room at level 2 facing the swimming pool. As it was during winter season, the pool was not opened so it was quite peaceful.there are quite a lot of food nearby and all are within walkable distance(10-15 mins kind) . can consider renting a scooter to drive around to explore the city. Overall all a decent experience
