"We arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed by the staff, who directed us to park in the underground garage. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean and spacious enough. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, close to Chiayi’s main sights, although there isn’t much to do immediately around the hotel itself."

"Chiayi is a quiet town on the edge of alishan mountains, as such there are not many major shops and eateries around. South Urban is a luxurious hotel standing in the middle of the quiet town. The popular food and night market are within 15min walking distance from the hotel (there is u-bike stand just opposite the hotel, but there were no bikes available when we headed out in the evening). The hotel staff were generally friendly, but there are not many amenities available to guests. There were only hair dryer and bedroom slippers available. The hotel did provide two bottles of water, and there is a water dispenser at the lobby if guests need more water. Other tourist attractions within 20-30 minutes walk around are prison, Hiroki village, railway park."
