Alta Sierra Village Inn

Rented us room # 10. Upon arriving we walk in and the bathroom ceiling has very significant water damage, then after showering water started leaking under the wall to the bed area…. We notified the front desk he came and said “I’ll loo kinder in the morning” I then asked him for extra towels to soak the water until morning he brought us one dirty rag…. The. The heater quit working at which point we noticed the plug and outlet were melted. Lucky we didn’t have a fire while sleeping.. Morning came and the whole room smelt like mold.. We went to office and asked for a refund for our second night so we could stay elsewhere. They declined and the owner lied and said he would come check the room, he never came or called us back. Still waiting on refund. I have reported this place to the Nevada county health department. Do not stay here unless you want mold poisoning. Also bedding is barely holding on stitches up real terribly

Only stayed one night. Room was clean, air conditioner worked well, and I was greeted by a beautiful cat when I checked in. Friendly and they let us check in early. I liked the idea of a deck with chairs, but they need to clear up the view. Only downfall, there was a small view of the lake, but there was a living room lounge chair and poop trucks as part of the view from the porch. Room 4

Good for what it is it's fine for what it is (cheap and close) but there were stains on the sheets and the walls are SO THIN i think every time i stay the neighbors keep me awake. there's nobody to call to ask them to be quiet.

Room was dated but clean. Had a great view. Suited an overnight stay perfectly.

No hot water whatsoever. Holes in the walls. Terrible double beds. No working WiFi. Patio had faulty and broken wooden planks so a huge safety hazard. This place was a nightmare in every sense of the word. I was on a 5 day trip. Switched hotels the first morning of my trip. Don’t get fooled by the cheap prices..there is no value here in any shape, way or form.

Deposit Stolen They charged a $100 deposit but conveniently not around at time for checkout so they wouldn't have to refund my deposit.
