Had a lovely lunch here for a second time after cycling from Chichester along the Centurion Way. Great quality homemade food. What we had was described as "bar snacks" but was plenty for lunch. Will be visiting again. Nice quiet garden. Helpful and polite bar staff.

My friend and I always catch up every few months and eat here. Yet again we had the most amazing food. Friendly atmosphere and very good service. Never disappoints. Recommend this lovely country pub. Dogs and walkers always welcome. Lovely garden at the back

Easter Sunday we were met with a warm welcome and a very lucky table for 2 to have Sunday Roast in the bar. Oh my! This was an unexpected result. Great local, friendly service but a truly off- the- scale roast - 10/10. Every element was stunning, my partner and I shared our meat, so I went for Roast Chicken Breast with Black Pudding and Apple Stuffing, and he went for the Pork Belly with stuffing - meats beautifully cooked, beef dripping roasties, roast veg with fennel seeds and a beautiful caramel finish... cauliflower cheese (I nearly licked the bowl) and gravy WITH an extra jug (not even asked for) which we finished with a spoon - it was so good this meal you could not leave a drop of anything. We waddled home... This is a stellar Sunday roast friends - go find out for yourselves!

Booked for lunch ahead of a visit to West Dean Gardens. Very much enjoyed the vegetarian beetroot, lentil and peanut butter burger with amazing chips and coleslaw. Followed by orange and almond cake, which was also delicious. Generous portions. Service was exceptional. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Thank you!

I needed to stay overnight for work and found this place at the last minute after being let down by another place. I am glad they did as The Selsey Arms was absolutely lovely , the staff couldn't be any more accommodating, the room was perfect and the breakfast was absolutely top notch . Thank you

This was our 5th anniversary, we were welcomed as soon as we walked in, i had pre ordered some champagne which was ready and nicely chilled, shown to our room which was immaculate, very nicely appointed, clean and had everything we needed. Our reserved table was ready on time. Starters, salt and pepper squid and the scotch eggs were beautiful, wine ordered was ready for our main course, 2 steak burgers, were stunning. No room for desserts but we had to try, rhubarb and cider sorbet and sticky toffee pudding were to die for. This is a little gem, staff were perfect efficient and polite. Excellent nights sleep, then English breakfast. Perfect can not fault anything. We had purchased a V2 radio voucher for this and at no point did we not feel like valued guests. Will even bring parents for our next visit. Well done team Selsey Arms. See you again soon.

Just a genuinely great place to dine at and stay. Very comfortable rooms, lovely atmosphere…very reasonable prices but what just absolutely made it was the wonderful staff. Couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

We booked here for one night because it is less than 5 minutes from the Weald and Downland Living Museum (where they film The Repair Shop). We absolutely fell in love with the Selsey Arms. It is a real pub with a very friendly atmosphere. They have 5 en suite rooms. We stayed in one on the upper floor right in the roof of the rear building. We visited in February and our room was beautifully warm - if anything too warm! The room was fresh and clean - to me it looked like it had just been finished, it all looked so new. The service was excellent. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast the following morning and in both cases they offered a very attractive menu. My wife follows a gluten-free diet and there was absolutely no problem finding appropriate options. We can particularly recommend the GF haddock and chips. It had the lightest, crispiest batter imaginable! Followed by hot GF orange and almond cake with caramelised orange and vanilla ice cream.

Not been here for years, warm friendly welcome. Few locals chatting. Relaxing friendly order taken and we played chess and cards while we ate and between courses. Starters were excellent, we could see the chef busy away in the kitchen. He kept an eye on how we were getting on so as not to rush it or leave a huge gap. Main courses even better best pie I have had for a long long time. Puddings top notch. Full marks. Highly recommend. Just one small thing......awkward, an issue with the chess board, my son beat me, I think there is a fault on the board!!!
