This 1930s-era palace features colonial-era furniture and art that makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time or staying in a museum. Conveniently located just steps from the market and a block from the main church. Beautifully maintained including old world charm like wood stacked in a hearth box next to your fireplace, fresh water in a carafe and goblets on a tray, and beautiful courtyards. Authenticity throughout added to the richness of the experience. We felt like royalty!

Great location, maybe 1 minute walk to start of the market. Room was very large and bed comfy. Bathroom was fine as we had hot water always and good water pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was the inclusive breakfast. Service was poor (received toast, 5 mins later received the jam, 5 mins later still the butter). Also the breakfast food was average. It's all included so can't complain too much. Only other comment is bar doesn't open to 5pm. It's the only one on town , there was always guests waiting for it to open. Maybe open bar earlier ?

If you like staying in historical properties with period furnishings, yet with all modern amenities, this is the place for you! It's great to see how the wealthy lived in the colonial era.
Front desk employees were super helpful and spoke English. The included breakfast was delicious and served in a historical room with a view.
We received drink vouchers, but did not know they had to be used on arrival day before 7pm.
Consider calling to ask for rooms with windows facing the back of the property, which is a green space, instead of the rooms facing the streets.

While I understand it’s an old hotel. I felt the bathroom need to be upgraded and floor wasn’t the cleanest.

me da mucha tristeza que un pueblo que antaño era muy tipico y particular ahora sea un COMPLETO ASCO, totalmente sobrevalorado, todo carisimo, no hay lugares donde comer, todo esta en muy malas xondiciones y sinceramente da mucha trsteza que ni siquiera la gente local se precupe por preservar sus costumbres y mejorar la expetiencia del turista. un fiasco absoluto y el hotel Mayan Inn para lo que cuesta, pesimo, viejo, y malo
