Hotel Avenue Chikugo ★★

📍 Yamanoi, 松原213-1 松原213−1, Chikugo

"Ordinary toilets with stained walls and thin walls that are prone to noise"

HOTEL SOLA – Adults Only

HOTEL SOLA – Adults Only ★★

📍 1902, Chikugo

"The hygiene was good, the staff were kind, and the card reader at the tea garden next door was excellent!"

Chikugofunagoya Kouennoyado
8.7 (15 reviews)

Chikugofunagoya Kouennoyado ★★★

📍 2108-1 Tsushima, Chikugo

"The view from the window was nice and we were very comfortable. thank you very much. Everyone at the restaurant was kind. The water is very good. I was looking forward to it when I heard that, and since the river is right next to it, I wanted the body wash in the bath to be made with soap or other products that have less impact on the environment. It was very disappointing that the water that came out of the shower hose in the bathroom and the water that came out of the faucet in the room smelled like PVC from the hose. I think it would be more in line with the times to not have plastic amenities. Everything else was clean and comfortable."

Meijikan
8.8 (5 reviews)

Meijikan ★★

📍 138-23 Yamanoi, Chikugo

"Overall, it's a decent hotel. It's decent for the price."

Hotel Elmont
9.1 (7 reviews)

Hotel Elmont ★★

📍 138-22 Yamanoi, Chikugo

"The room is better than most business express hotels in Japan, and the breakfast is comparable to a four-star hotel, exceeding expectations."

Hotel Higuchiken
7.7 (7 reviews)

Hotel Higuchiken ★★★

📍 805-1 Oshima, Chikugo

"I had high expectations based on the visuals, so I was quite disappointed. The hot spring was supposed to be carbonated, but it was just colorless and transparent. I wonder if it was really a hot spring. The bath was dirty and unpleasant. There was a municipal hot spring facility nearby, and the water was brown and rich in minerals, just like a hot spring. There was also an open-air bath, and I went in for just 500 yen, but it felt great, and the staff and customers at the facility were all locals, so I had a good time. In comparison, no one at the hotel was smiling, and everyone seemed to be working reluctantly. The food was cheap, but only looked good, which was quite disappointing. The breakfast in particular felt the same level as the free meals at business hotels."

Hotel Avenue Chikugo ★★
"I appreciate this as it helps me to travel cheaply, and I'm happy as long as it provides the bare minimum of a place to stay. If I were to make a request, I think it would be nice if there were a few more amenities like cotton swabs and tea (or coffee)."

"Parking is very convenient, right at the hotel entrance. The hotel facilities are showing signs of age but are well-maintained. The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and the staff will help make up the beds during mealtimes. The area is perfect for a stroll."

Hotel Higuchiken ★★★
"We were a one-day bus tour with 28 guests, and we had lunch and used the bath. The restaurant was on the first floor, and the fresh green trees across the river looked beautiful. The hot food was hot, brought out one by one, and was delicious and beautiful to look at. The hotel also made use of local characteristics, such as the lanterns made from Yame washi paper. The bath was on the fourth floor, and there were eight valuables boxes next to the stairs. Inside there were 21 clothes baskets. Only tour guests used it, so it was like washing a potato. This is a hotel that you would want to use leisurely on a solo trip."
