Beautiful environment, simple small villas, birds singing in the valley, a resort. The breakfast is very unique and makes you happy for the whole day. There are also golf courses, indoor and outdoor swimming pools

Our room should have been 5 star- bungalow on the river with hammock and patio seating which made for such relaxing afternoons listening to the rain! The only down side to the room was a termite swarm into the room that we cleaned up as it was late when we returned and found them. Housekeeping came the next am after I called to further clean up. We found out a few days before that the pool was unavailable due to an event they were having( that I am assuming was booked long before)- we had access to the “ cold pool?!)- so we had massages( great) but couldn’t experience the rest of the spa experience due to this event( same price tho) Food- we tried dinner and lunch and both were a huge fail. The food just was awful…. And any communication with the restaurant staff was a fail as well- they spoke and understood very little English so messed up our orders. Breakfast was included but marginal. We walked into Boquete for all our meals after that and found amazing restaurants there so just skipped the hotel. I got a message from our “ personal butler/ concierge” prior to arrival BUT they were off when we arrived and we never heard from them again during our 5 day stay. Airport pickup was seamless. We played mini golf which the course a severely neglected. There were other hotels in the area that we would try if we returned.

This is a beautiful property. The grounds are spacious, lush and well-maintained. We stayed in a riverside bungalow with a covered terrace overlooking the water. The room had a very roomy closet (with a safe) to stash your luggage and store your belongings, separate from the bedroom and bathroom. There was also a wet bar with fridge. The mattress was comfortable and provided a quality sleep. This bungalow was no more than a 5-minute walk to the restaurant and the cantina. The entrees and meals we ate there were all so delicious that during our week-long stay, we only ate outside the resort once. The servers were all friendly and very efficient, and we enjoyed lingering in the outdoor dining room to enjoy the colorful flowers and foliage. The spa is a real treat and our couples massages were top notch. There is a sauna and impressive coved swimming pool. From the moment the resort driver picked us up at the David airport we felt pampered and relaxed. Haydee (unsure about the spelling), the concierge, was in the van with cold water and lots of valuable information. She assisted us several times during our stay and was always efficient, friendly and extremely pleasant. If you want to walk to town, it’s about a 10 minute stroll with just a small amount of traffic. Our only disappointment was the small variety of birds on the property. Bring a raincoat for the misty rains that pop up periodically. Overall, this is a lovely, charming place to stay and get away from it all. We thoroughly enjoyed this resort.

The resort is excellent. In every regard. It’s located in one of the most beautiful areas we’ve ever been. The scenery is spectacular. The rooms were luxurious and the furnishings and amenities were all top notch. The restaurant was great, both the food and the service. And the level of customer service was as good as it gets. Everyone from the front desk and concierge to the housekeeping staff was friendly, welcoming, and always strived to make sure we were happy. No request was too small or large. In summary there are not enough superlatives to describe how much we enjoyed ourselves here at Valle Escondido. We hated to leave and can’t wait to return. It has become one of our favorite places after only 1 stay.

This was a most enjoyable and memorable stay. Valle Escondido is located very close to the center of Boquete but off the beaten path just enough to feel remote and private - a gated and intimate paradise nestled in a beautiful mountain setting. Our room was a very cozy and well-appointed bungalow set on one of the little rivers that meander through the property, creating a tranquil, flowing water sound throughout the day and night - I could have lingered on our patio by the water the whole stay, but there was much more to do! All of the staff were incredibly polite and helpful, but most notably the food at the restaurant was phenomenal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They put on a very unexpected and elegant Thanksgiving dinner, which made us feel so good far away from family back home. And each item in the buffet setting was absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough about how fortunate we felt to have stayed here and hope to return when feasible.

We had an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived, the service was top notch. We were greeted with hot towels and fresh juice. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable with a relaxing outside porch. Spa services were super relaxing. The restaurant had great food, fresh options. All the staff was super attentive and friendly. Heidi helped me plan our trip before we even arrived and was there to help into the very end of our stay. We felt like we had personalized service. I highly recommend this resort. Ask for Heidi, she will make your stay and entire vacation in Panama effortless.

Too expensive for what it is. Hotel Valle del Rio is much better. Very low water pressure, a/c and Tv very cheap. Included breakfast the same menu every day. Choice of dining inn too expensive with weird menus. No room service. No ramp for handicap. No bellhop in the morning for checking out. The place is beautiful but all hotels in Boquete are.
