HSL is a nice small hotel, conveniently located near the center of the Historic center of Poppi. My wife and I drove there, and Google Maps didn't do so well, advising us incorrectly that we had arrived at our destination. A call to the hotel resolvedit; the excellent desk clerk guided us real time out of the center, around the congestion and one-way streets, back up the hill and into their parking lot. Only about a block from where we'd been, but it seemed like miles. Maybe she does this a lot. The room was simple but spacious, and it had a view. The breakfast was diverse and tasty, the location was perfect for walking and the service, as already mentioned, was impeccable. We'd return in a heartbeat.

Located in old central Poppi adjacent to the castle of count guidi. Excellent breakfast provided. Incredible view from our room. Very spacious room with comfortable bed. Wife gives five stars for the shower! Within walking distance to the entire central “old” Poppi and to the downtown Poppi area. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our every need.

Beautiful room with amazing view
When I was booking the hotel I saw a review complaining about the decor - crazy! The room is super large and beautifully decorated with a very authentic style. The view from our room was breathtaking. Location was perfect.
Things to consider - no AC, just fan... in July, not great. Breakfast is good, but kind of simple and few options if you have food allergies. Parking can be a bit hard to find after late hours. Chairs around the table were not in great condition. But pros compensate the cons.

They have all to be excellent
It is an extraordinary place, an old building in the old city of Popi with wonderful views of the valley next to the Popi castle with private parking next door. However, it has many details that could improve the room, which is quite poorly decorated, with bathroom accessories of very poor quality, the mattress is old and soft. In short, the room could be of a different quality than what it is.

Di ritorno da una vacanza al sud ci siamo fermati in questo splendido borgo. Prenotato due camere. Scelta eccellente. Dimora d’epoca bellissima ai piedi del castello emblema del paese. Abbiamo trovato garbo, cortesia e grande disponibilità. Elisa ha atteso pazientemente che arrivassimo oltre l’orario del check-in e ci ha dato indicazioni per arrivare alla struttura. Camere dal sapore antico pulite e confortevoli. Colazione eccellente servita nello splendido giardino che affaccia sulla vallata sottostante. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Uno di quei posto dove torneresti sempre volentieri. Grazie ancora Elisa, e grazie anche all’altra ragazza, brava e sorridente, che si occupava del servizio colazione, per avere reso piacevolissimo il nostro breve soggiorno a Poppi. Nello Marano

Quel joli hôtel plein de charme! La bâtisse est très bien placée sous le castello et sa place ombragée. La chambre famille est vaste et confortable. Le petit jardin où les hôtes prennent le petit déjeuner est très tranquille et agréable. Nous avons beaucoup aimé Poppi et son atmosphère chaleureuse et cet hôtel aussi fera partie de nos bons souvenirs de la ville!

Location eccezionale, in un palazzo storico ben mantenuto e con vista sulle colline circostanti, a pochi metri dal centro storico e dal bellissimo castello di Poppi. Ampio parcheggio pubblico gratuito. Personale accogliente, cortese e disponibile. Colazione molta buona con ampia scelta di dolce e salato. Camera bella e spaziosa, molto pulita ed arredata semplicemente, ma con estrema cura. Superconsigliato!

Io mi sono trovato molto bene, un'ampia camera molto pulita ed arredata in semplicità ma in maniera più che dignitosa . Molto ampio il bagno e molto pulito anch'esso. La cabina doccia comincia ad accusare la sofferenza degli anni, a mio parere andrebbe sostituita, così come le zanzariere che erano ormai semi distrutte. Molto bella la sala colazioni e gentilissima la ragazza che se ne occupa. Ampia la verietà del cibo che viene servito a buffet e buona la qualità. Ottimo il pane fresco e gli affettati ! Accoglienza alla reception impeccabile. Sono rimasto soddisfatto , anche del prezzo e se capiterà di nuovo l'occasione, ci tornerò!
